I have always been unhappy with my profile. I felt like my chin was not pronounced enough and made my face look asymmetrical. Whenever I saw my picture from the side I was pretty unhappy. I decided to get a medium sized silicone implant and opted for far transfer to my cheeks as well. I am currently 5 days post op and I am still a bit swollen but so far I am pleased with the results. The recovery has not been too terrible. I returned to work today (the fifth day) and no longer need prescription pain medication. I have been really swollen for the last few days but it has been bearable. I had some numbness in my lower lip which is pretty much gone and all I feel now is some soreness in my cheeks from the fat transfer and some tightness in my chin area. I still cannot smile fully or talk completely normally but I can eat semi soft foods slowly and felt pretty good about returning to work.

Did anyone notice at work? You look great!

They did. I chose to tell my work I was getting jaw surgery for dental reasons (so I could use sick time) so my coworkers knew I had surgery but didn't know it was cosmetic. That being said I've heard a few comments second hand from coworkers saying they felt like I looked prettier recently so that's nice

It didn't hurt while being done because I was put under for the chin implant. Afterwords it was really swollen for about four days and for a few days after that it was swollen but not to where I was like embarrassed about seen by people. It was pretty sore and still is a little (ten days later) but only when I smile now

Very nice. Did your doctor say how long it would last? What made you decide on fat transfer versus fillers or cheek implants? You look great!

I've been meaning to ask him that. It was kind of just something additional to the chin implant that he felt would really improve my appearance but it wasn't something I had considered before. I've read that most people feel like it lasts a year unless done very carefully so I'm curious as to how long he feels like his results lasts in patients. I kind of just trusted his opionion on it but I do really like the results so I think in the future I would be interested in continuing to get the transfers or looking into another route because it does look really good in my opionion.

I'm feeling pretty good, still a bit sore when I smile and it's hard to smile fully and use my lower face completely. I've received a lot of positive comments from coworkers who can't quite say why but that they notice that I've looked prettier recently so that's nice! I can't really ask for more, I like what I see and I feel like others do too!

Beautiful!
Where did he extract the fat from? I really want to get some fat back in my cheeks. Reading so many experiences good and bad, so am nervous. Ive been going up and down in weight, from low to lower and finally my cheeks have not bounced back.
Did he inject from the exterior or from the interior of the mouth? How long does it take for swelling to go all the way down?

Did the fat transfer hurt at all?
