Chase Lay Review - for Facelift, Eyes and Chin
WORTH IT
I interviewed three different doctors before deciding on Dr. Lay. I did these procedures while awake, I was very apprehensive about doing this, but is saved money and Dr. Lay assured me that many people do this. I went in for the procedure the morning of November 21st. He did my eyes first then moved on to my chin. After doing one side of my facelift and then starting on the other I had a bleed. We had to stop because Dr. Lay felt that he couldn't get the results if he didn't put me under. I spent that night in a hotel and finished the procedure the next day. As you can imagine I was really stressed about this, but doctor assured me that it would be fine. You can see by the results it was.
I thought I was prepared for this surgery and the recovery, I'm pretty tough and thought no problem. I read the reviews and looked at pictures of the recovery period. Let me tell you it is a different perspective when it is your face that is bruised and swollen, you need to be mentally prepared, it is HARD not to panic and wonder if you will ever look normal again. Dr. Lay was good an reassuring me that what I was seeing was completely normal. You have moments of what the !@#$% did I do.......but let me tell you it's all worth it!
The other hard part is sleeping, for the facelift you have to pretty much sleep in a 3/4 recline and your cheeks and ears are completely numb which is a very strange sensation. It physically is really uncomfortable. I am 3 months in and it is still partially numb, but getting better each week. He did tell me up to 6 months. The pain was not bad and manageable with Tylenol 3. It is just more uncomfortable.
I did wind up with another bleed in my cheek a week after the surgery, Dr. Lay was there for me every step of the way, he even saw me on Saturday and Sunday to drain my cheek. He also sent me texts reminding what I should be doing. He was there to answer any question.
So if you are looking for a doctor that will be with you every step of the way choose Dr. Lay!!
