Here I am 13 Days post op upper, lower abdomen, flanks and upper and lower back and chin liposuction, feeling like what I’m the heck have I done to myself. My lower abdomen and back are hard as a brick and super swollen. I still can’t bend because my lower abdomen is still very soar. My wounds are healing nicely. I’ve found that I feel a lot better after I started back taking my daily vitamins, eating a lot of pineapple as well as a lot of protein. Ive has 3 lymphatic massages which have also helped tremendously. I have a good support system that keeps me optimistic and positive vibes only which also help. My Surgeon and his Staff have also been supportive, responsive and reassuring.

I’m 13 days today (abs/flanks/upper arms and inner thighs. The swelling Is CRAZY!!!

Hang in there it gets better after week 2. You’ll still have swelling but the discomfort does go away. Have you had amy lymphatic massages?

I haven’t done massage. My PS is old school, “use ice for swelling and let your body heal naturally”. My biggest frustration is that I’m a side sleeper and there is NO WAY for me to do that! If feels like my AB skin is ripping away from my body when I turn on my side! I did all of my homework, but I guess I read what I wanted to see and skimmed over the looooooooong recovery parts!

Keep taking your vitamins Eat pineapple Eat a lot of protein (meat and protein bars) GET a lymphatic massage. I promise you will feel better.

The lymphatic massage pushes the fluid that causes some swelling back into your lymphatic system. You will pee a lot afterward. Drink lots of water too. You could also layer up some blankets to help with cushioning your body. Hang in there. Keep me posted.

Well as you can see my swelling has decreased tremendously. I attribute that to continuously taking my vitamins, lymphatic massages, drinking lots of water, wearing my garment 24/7 and eating pineapples. The toughest part of this journey was “swell hell!!!!” I can see my frame coming in nicely. I have ordered my step 2 garment. I also had the garment Dr. Gear gave me taken in as it was too big when I initially got it day of surgery.

21 Days post op. Omg I discovered a fat roll on my right side. Now I’m nervous again that my results will not look like the $8700 I spent to achieve a smaller upper frame. I know it’s still way too early to tell and I’m trying my best to remain optimistic. Going back to the gym on Monday to start back working out. In the images you can see where the swelling is slowly going down in my lower abdomen.
