I'm now at my 6 week PO mark. The swelling has improved so much in the last couple weeks. My measurements at my BB line are at 35", down from 38" pre-op. In honor of the occasion, today I took a re-shoot of my original pre-op bikini pictures.

Here are my new pictures-- all drains now OUT! Woohoo! I am still very puffy on my left hip where the drain way and you can see I am still very swollen in the pelvic region. These were taken this morning & that swelling is worse at night. I'm sure the hysterectomy has made it even worse. Regardless, I love how everything is shaping up! BB will be fixed in January.

Your scar looks amazeballs. I have this theory that the people who are active before their surgeries are the ones who heal the best. What was your fitness routine like before your surgery? You look amazing!

Before surgery I stepped up my running. I ran 5 days a week usually 3-4 miles; except I did try to get in one long run each week. On my two "down" days, I walked. I also hit the gym to boost my muscle mass focusing on arms, shoulders, back and legs.

Kick ass! I love it. I'll be having my surgery next year and I want to be sure to focus on getting fit enough to recover....If that makes sense. Of course I would continue that afterward as well.

Your waist is beautifully shaped. Your scars are excellent. You are getting the BB fixed.. You hit the surgery jackpot..lol. However as your doctor said take it easy. You can get back to your exercise routine later. In the grand scheme of things, what is a couple of months of inactivity if the results are amazing?
