I've been really lazy about following up on my surgery, but things have been pretty uneventful, which of course is great. I have had an amazing recovery, practically free of pain and complications. I only took pain meds the first day as a preventative measure, but decided not to continue because I felt no pain, just mild discomfort. I didn't even take an analgesic. I am very pleasantly surprised at the ease of my recovery, having expected to experience everything from major pain to even depression and regret. I can honestly say I didn't go through any of that and have not questioned my decision once. I also haven't experienced much swelling at all and am very satisfied with my results even this early on, even though I know I can still expect improvements over the next couple of months. Drains were removed at 1 week post op and belly button stitches at 2 weeks. I have been having some drainage from the belly button since and have applied antibiotic cream for 2 days as directed by my PS. I started using Dr. Blaine's Silicone Strips and cream yesterday, provided by the PS. I just have to say that Dr. Bednar and his staff have been absolutely stellar in their expertise and care. He is truly an artist and his staff is extremely personable and caring. I couldn't be happier with my choice! He is the best! His pre-op and post-op routine is unmatched and is all included in the price.

After years of wanting a TT, it is finally going...
After years of wanting a TT, it is finally going to come true in just a few weeks! ! I still can't believe it. I'm a 31 year old married mother of a 4 year old girl. Even though I've only had one pregnancy, it wreaked havoc on my stomach, in part because I also gained a lot of weight during and even after (60 lbs). I've wanted a tummy tuck ever since I dropped the weight but was waiting on the possibility of having another child. However, my husband and I have decided not to have any more children and that being the case, I decided this would be the perfect time to do it, while still young and healthy.
I met with 6 different reputable plastic surgeons in my area and even though it was a tough call, I decided to have Dr. Bednar do my surgery because of his 28 years of experience, reputation and artistic eye.
I have a mixture of excitement and nervousness as the time draws near and everything is set in stone.
Good luck to all the ladies currently considering or undergoing this process! It's nice to have a place to come to for advice and encouragement.
