After achieving 100 pound weight loss in 2001, I was left with much skin and impossible to rid fatty areas in my thighs and arms. Attempts at focused diet and a variety of exercise could not improve the unsightly look of my extremities. After the positive results of my Circumferential Tummy Tuck and Breast Lift in 2011, I finally decided to have a Thighplasty (inner thigh lift) and a Brachiplasty (Arm Lift.)

I must admit that these procedures were more painful and limiting than I remember the TT being. So far, (it's only Day 19 Post Op) I've had some minor complications which are under control but most of all the swelling and difficulty seeing change is the most nerve racking. I'm posting some before/after photos today which shows photos from the day before surgery and then today's photos which is 19 days after surgery. There are SEVERAL photos I've taken that I really do not see any difference at all! I'm hopeful that as time passes, the tightening, lifting and shrinking will continue.

Stay tuned ... I'll continue to keep this updated and have MANY MANY tips for ANYONE considering this procedure. (Tips include: how to sleep, pee, eat, wound clean and much more!)

I'm planning on having a medial/inner thigh lift later this year. For the thigh lift, Did you have the scars go from the groin area all the way around to the buttock area? Are you pretty much done with the pain? How long was the "intense pain? And when did it ease off? Thank you for sharing your journey with us.

Hi Susie! Still having some uncomfortable pain in my arms however the pain in legs/groin was more uncomfortable and annoying than truly painful. I'm still standing up to potty for example! The scar goes underneath groin and hides well below the butt cheek .... only maybe a half inch out so definitely not out the whole cheek. Lipo was also performed there. Happy to answer any questions you have! When are you planning to have yours?

Hi and thanks for posting your review! I'm having vertical and medial thigh lift next week on the 19th Feb, and feeling a little nervous, but also excited as I'm sick of my legs they are gross ! Did you have a vertical incision too ? How long was your hospital stay and are you wearing a compression garment?

Hi Sarbear... be sure to Inbox me anytime and I'll share everything I know with you. I know what you're going through!! Our surgeries will be exactly one month apart :) I have a "T" incision that goes through the groin and down the leg about half way. For me, the point where the two connect (middle/bottom groin) is the most difficult to deal with. I'm wearing a compression garment and will for about six weeks total. I've learned to deal with it... trust me you will have questions! (How to potty, how to deal with the garment edges rubbing the incision, etc... I've figured it all out and find a new trick every day.) My surgeon has their own surgery center, so after surgery I stayed in a nearby hotel, and came back the next morning for my first post-op. I then went home, and came back a little over a week later. Next check up is 2/28. Please do send any other questions you have over, either here or Inbox. Happy to help and will be thinking many positive thoughts for you dear!

Try a ladies pad (or a medical wound pad)

Where are your scars/incisions for the thigh lift? You look absolutely amazing!!!

Hi, thank you ... still a long way to go. Very swollen and sore. The incisions are in a T shape going from a few inches of the bikini front to about an inch by the tush. Then they go down a little higher than mid-thigh. I saw them for the first time a few days ago since the tape had been covering them since surgery. Not too pretty, but I know they will flatten and smooth in time.
