30 Years Old Aquashape Lipo - Charlotte, NC

I wanted to improve my self image. Saw Dr. Ditesheim's reviews and credentials and liked his before/after photos so I went in for a consultation. He agreed I was a good candidate for the aquashape lipo on my upper/lower abdomen and I decided to get my hips done too. Surgery went well, did it under local. Had a lot of swelling and now it's 6 months later and I am happy with my hips but less than pleased with my stomach. I have a bulge above my belly button on the L. side that he says is extra skin but has been there since 2-4 weeks after I had surgery. I don't know why that area has not gone down. He also either missed a spot at the very bottom of my stomach or it's fluid. I think he missed a spot, my husband, who is a Dr., swears it is fluid because he thinks it gets bigger and smaller (I don't think it does). In all honesty, I can't believe I spent $8,000 for this result. It's not terrible, but it definitely needs a revision surgery to flatten my stomach out. I won't be returning to this surgeon because I moved out of state. What irritated me was that he has kind of been "blind" to the bulges I point out to him. He seemed to see the good but had a hard time seeing the lumps I am unhappy with. They are pretty obvious to me and I would expect him to be able to see them since he's trained in aesthetics and all. Overall he's a nice guy but when I told him I had photos from a month after my surgery when I came in complaining of this lump, he went to look at the photos in the computer and came back saying they weren't there and tried to act like they didn't take pictures. It was REALLY fucked up and set off a huge red flag to me. I was like wow, you are really going above and beyond here. I think things look OK with clothes on but he was enthusiastic about doing the procedure now while I'm young so the skin would tighten back up. I am 5'5 150 lbs but most people getting lipo have much bigger stomachs than I did and have no excess skin. My skin doesn't hang, it kind of bulges out. Ugh, It's depressing... Another thing is that they promise a quick recovery time with aquashape...I think this is BS. I was in so much pain and basically couldn't move for 3 days, then very limited for approx. 2 weeks. There's definitely a sales aspect here. I am disappointed in Dr. Ditesheim. I think he could have done better for me, especially since I came to him with my issues so early in the healing process...Then at 6 months he had no answers for me either. At this point, I am chalking it up to poor technique on the abdominals.
