almost done!
WORTH IT
Tray 28 out of 29. Dentist says we will assess if further trays needed after completion. I see a huge change. Havent worn my Acceledent in two months, i think its a crock. I havent had any issues with movement and fitting into trays without it.

Tray 7, Seeing Improvement
Took until about tray 4 till I saw some change. I can feel it and see it now and my bite has changed by tray 7. I asked my dentist about the buttons, he said the teeth will move without them but it may take a little longer and so when the time isn't much difference (especially with Accelendent) , he prefers not to use them since most people can't stand them. So I get to be button free. I looked at my Clincheck again in his office today, I'm pretty pleased with how things are going.... nobody notices I have it. It's only a mild inconvenience with cleaning/eating removal but has been pain free after tray 1. My Clincheck shows nice, straightened teeth and Acceledent is cutting this treatment time in half. I will be done in about 5 months.

forgot to mention that I purchased nitewhite on Amazon and have used it in the trays for a few days in a row. It's really whitened my teeth.
Don't ever do veneers, you have good enamel.

Like many, these reviews have been so helpful, I love this site and thought I'd share too. I wore braces about four years in middle school, lost retainer, wisdom teeth shifted things, lower teeth became very crowded and both arches narrowed substaially..you've heard the story. So I follow this vlogger always admiring her fangs when she admits she has veneers. Finally at the point in life with some disposable income, I saw two dentists asking about veneers. The first dentist told me I definitely need Invisalyn first so he can be more conservative with shaving the teeth for veneer prep later. Referred me to an ortho for Invisalyn consult and said it would likely be 1.5 - 2 years in them! Oooofff no thanks. I saw another dentist after who also reccomended Invisalyn first before veneers (strange I really thought it was one or the other) but told me about Acceledent which would reduce my plan of 29 trays down to approximately 7 months. I change out the trays weekly. I am currently on tray #4. So far I see a small difference. I didn't receive any buttons at all and would love to know if there are others reading this in the same boat? My dentist said "he doesn't really use them?" I'm finding out by reading this site that pretty much everyone else seems to have them. Don't get me wrong, I don't desire them I just want straight, nice teeth and hoping this thing works well without the buttons too. Acceledent has been good...doesn't feel like it's doing anything, vibrations are minute. My first Invisalyn caused me a ton of pain through day 4. I wanted to quit if every tray was like that one. Well I'm on tray 4 now and no pain since. Only slightly pressure when beggining new trays..zero pain. I read where a reviewer said Invisalyn becomes like wearing shoes. You know they are there but they no longer effect you. Hmmm...wouldn't go that far. I'm aware they are there and dislike having to deal with them for meal times and constant brushing but not that big of a deal anymore. I tried on two trays ahead and it fit..I totally want to jump ahead but I know you can't. It's a long journey. Lastly for now, I briefly saw myclincheck (computerized plan of teeth movement) the day I began and wanted to see it again on second dentist visit. They told me they don't have it but they may be able to get it from Invisalyn. I contacted Invisalyn and they said the dentist should have it. I feel like this is something that should be given to you for sure so ask for it on your first visit. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. Do you really think you'll get veneers after all this is over? Your teeth seem really nice and once they're straight it doesn't seem like you'd really need anything else.
Well thanks, not sure yet. I'd love it if I loved my outcome enough that there would be no need to but my dentist showed me a digital mock up and veneers can shape the teeth according to your face (i.e. look up any celebrity photos before and after) they can make an extreme difference in your overall appearance. I only worry about having to get them replaced in the long run.
