Fat Transfer With Dr. Bednar Two Months Post Op

Two Years Post Op

WORTH IT$10,999
Just a quick update of how the fat cell retention has held up in my breasts after two years. Unfortunately, I've put on a few Covid lockdown, & Holiday pounds. Nothing drastic, but my midsection is not quite as lean as two years ago. I'm definitely a size larger. But my breast shape is still maintaining, what I acquired from the two procedures. I still feel it was definitely, it was worth it!!!

Finale of 'Fat Transfer to Breasts Journey' With Dr. Bednar - 3 Months Post Op

First of all, it feels GREAT to be finally emerging from the compressing, body girdle garment I've had to wear for the past 3 months! Very much like coming our of a cocoon! It was especially challenging during the summer months, but I was just so eager to obtain my LONG awaited final results. At my age (61), & considering all the damage I've suffered - I'm not quite perfect, but I can at least look in a mirror without feeling sick & depressed anymore - or generally like a train wreck. Working with Dr. Bednar & his team was truly a life changing experience. And it was totally worth all the steps I had to go through, which for me, was two procedures. He was also kind enough to give me a discounted price - $7,500, for the second round. For years, I had been terrified of flying out of state for a breast reconstructive procedure. Although I did travel by train from CT to NYC a few times. And that was an ORDEAL, best endured by someone significantly younger. But restricting myself to struggling with local doctors with limited skills could in part, well explain why I wound up in a spiral of frustrating revisions. Back when I was doing implant surgeries, & dealing with very long, deep incisions (thanks to a few slaphappy surgeons), my apprehensions might have been justified, but with this procedure, it was so much more easily doable! Once I determined that Fat Transfer was my best option - for post, breast implant repair, I thoroughly researched, & considered every doctor doing this procedure, within any kind of close proximity. Dr. Bednar was THE ONE who made everything the easiest. His free consult was done by phone. Photos were submitted online, through his secure site. The toughest part was his medical questionnaire. You have to be healthy, & he is very thorough about general health. So that first form was a bit intimidating. But I was spared the BRAVA bra system, which some doctors insist upon, & seemed like expensive overkill, for my particular condition. The nearby hotels in Charlotte are all quite nice, & I stayed in one with a kitchenette, near a Whole Foods - which was perfect for my needs! They were very familiar with Dr. Bednar, & offered a shuttle, which took me straight up to his surgical center the day of surgery. Their overnight nurse I hired for the first night, was very nice & an easy solution - if friend or family help is unavailable. I rented a car, & my phone's GPS navigated me easily, everywhere I needed to go. And I was able to get a direct flight back home. The whole experience went beautifully smooth - such a complete 180 from all the miseries & disappointments I'd awakened to in the past, off surgical tables. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone in his vicinity, with similar needs. For so many years, I yearned for a happy ending, & now........ at last....... I have one!

You look fantastic. Do you have any long term photos to show fat retention after you have been resuming your regular exercise routine for a long while? As I know he said there are a lot of restrictions on exercise for the first 3 months . Thank you :)
Actually, I haven't been exercising all that much. I wish my breasts had retained more of the original fullness, but they have at least maintained the improved shape.
You look fantastic! What was your total coast for 2 rounds? Did you get any hard cysts that can happen with fat transfer to the breast? Again you look great!

Six Weeks Post Op Second Fat Transfer

These photos were taken six weeks post op from my second fat transfer with Dr. Bednar. As you can (hopefully) see with comparison to the Before picture, (from the first fat transfer post op result November 2017); he has curved over, & filled out the right breast significantly, to camouflage the severe over excision made by a previous surgeon (with less than artistic skills). As well as adding enough fat for balance. The bruises have healed, & I have been absolutely thrilled with the final outcome!!! I'm not perfect - like I never had any past damage, but things are so remarkably improved as to feel life changing! I have retained a 36 inch bust line still to date, as well as symmetry I haven't had in decades. I've also been enjoying the smallest hips I've ever had in my entire adult life! It's truly an amazing feeling after all those years of suffering depression from disfigurement, to finally have a body I can feel good about! It's too bad it took so long to achieve it.
I would highly recommend Dr. Bednar for anyone seeking relief, & improvement from similar explant, disfigurement problems. I will be eternally grateful for finding him through the others at Real Self who posted & shared their experiences with his work. The amazing life renewal I have been privileged to experience, thanks to him is many prayers come true!
