I chose Dr. Kulbersh after a great deal of research and consultations for a lower blepharoplasty. I met with doctors in the Raleigh/Durham area and then selected Dr Kulberish in Charlotte which is over 2 hrs away. In the consult he asked what my goals were then he explained that just a lower blepharoplasty would not produce the results I desired. He suggested an upper and lower blepharoplasty and a brow lift. He was very clear in explaining what would change and what would not change. This showed me he cared to set a realistic expectation. He explained the procedure and recovery in detail. I had several questions leading up to the surgery, emailed his team and they promptly answered. The day of surgery Dr. Kulbersh was very comforting. The facility he used was amazing. The staff found out I was recovering in a hotel and gave my husband alcohol wipes and told him to wipe down the TV remote and all surfaces. The recovery was everything he told me it would be, after 4 days I was able to go in public and two weeks I was back running. The results of the procedure was above and beyond what I could ever have hoped for with a very natural look. I could not provide a higher recommendation for Dr. Kulbersh and his team.

Great results! Do you happen to know if the doctor removed or re-positioned fat from under your eyes? Did you have incisions under your lash lines?
Thank you! He repositioned the fat and I only had one stitch on each cheek. I had no stitches on my lower lashline because the incision to remove the fat was done inside the lower lid.

Wow! What a beautiful result! Huge congratulations! You look amazing :)

Beautiful results! I am considering facial rejuvenation and have been following Dr Kulbersh's before and after. How far did you travel and how long did you stay in Charlotte? I am about 7 hours away. Thank you for your revue and photos !!

I was tired of being told I looked tired due to the bags under my eyes. I would hide behind my glasses because I was so embarrassed.
Pros for blepharoplasty is the speedy recovery and very little pain.
Con the brow lift recovery was not as fast as blepharoplasty. I'm still healing from 4 months later however it doesn't keep me from doing anything just a little tender at the incision points. I'd do it again!

Hi there! Welcome, and thank you for sharing your story with us on RealSelf. Congratulations on a positive outcome. Did you have any bruising or swelling?
I had very minimal bruising under my eyes but I did have swelling. I'm not a fan of steroids so chose not to use them to reduce the swelling. The swelling was down within 4 to 5 days.

That's awesome! Did you find it easy to conceal the bruising?

Very easy, the bruising was so minimal. However everyone is different.

True! I suppose it's only a minor, short term inconvenience if it's not easy to hide.

Even if I had bruising for weeks I would do the procedure again. The results were life changing for me.

I'm happy for you! Do you feel confident enough to share some before and after photos?

I do, I was waiting for the doctor to send them. I uploaded them to my profile today.

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing them!

What type of brow lift did you have, was it a lateral lift on the side of your temples?
I'm embarrassed to say I'm not exactly sure. I have 5 incisions one near each temple, one at the top of my head and one in-between the top and temple on each side.
Thank you, it sounds like you had the more complicated one. The lateral one just has 1 incision at your temples. No doubt yours will last longer. I am considering the lateral lift, this procedure is not as invasive. Glad you are happy with your results.
Thanks so much for that excellent review and the pics! I am considering a lower bleph before long and your review has been a great help with my research. You look gorgeous!
