Even in elementary school, I was always “the girl with the big boobies”. I began developing in the 4th grade and by the time I was in the 5th grade, I was a C cup. The growth continued through high school and college until this year, when finally at a size E I knew that I needed a change and had enough. The back and neck pain, difficulty finding my bra size and at reasonable prices, inability to dress appropriately (or cute!) due to my size and constant jeers and snickers encouraged me to finally make a move. After researching clinics in my area, I came across Dr. Broc Pratt from The Refine Institute. I was impressed with his experience, supportive staff, attractive and state-of-the-art facility. 2 months after my consultation, I had my reduction and went from a Size E to a 38C. I couldn’t be more pleased. This is definitely the BEST decision I’ve made in my life, as it has CHANGED my life.

Quite a reduction indeed. In fact, 5 1/2 pounds was taken off. This is the first time in yearsssss that I am looking forward to the summer. Brings tears to my eyes!

Hello, thank you so much for posting these. I am getting the operation in July and could not picture the drains they speak of, nor could i picture how my breasts would look bandaged, the nipple, etc., your pictures did that for me. My breasts are similar size to yours (pre-op). You look like you healed incredibly well and fast. Maybe it's just the camera, but if you had the energy and felt well enough to take those pics that soon after that's a great sign. When you say you got 5.5 lbs taken off, do you really mean off your breasts? Or did you lose 5.5 lbs from the operation? did you have to get liposuction as well (on top of your chest) I am going to have to get that. your surgeon did an amazing job. you are very lucky.

p.s. -- forgot to ask. what size did you go down to, as your breasts still look fairly sizeable, which is what i want. I have never had small breasts since I was 11 yrs old. I was 34C when 12 yrs old, and skinny, so I know what it's like. I related to your story. However, that said, I am not a person who wants small breasts, as I connotate femininity with breasts, and i want to keep my hourglass figure. my surgeon wanted to do a 'fairly aggressive' reduction and i cried and thought. NO WAY! I want my breasts to remain sizeable but smaller and higher as they sag so much, are so heavy, cause chafing and pain and unable to wear anything. plus they make me look 20 lbs heavier than I am. When I wear a half-decent bra, people at work comment as if i'm another person. that's what i'm looking forward to. having breasts that sit up where they should be instead of in the middle of my abdomen. makes you feel old and i want to feel young.

I am healing quite well, and indeed fast. I credit that to following the doctor's instructions of taking all meds pre- and post-op, by keeping my areolas and nipples moisturized and bandaged, and the entire surgical site covered. I was, of course, weak after surgery, and in pain (arms from being laid out on the surgery table), but other than, I was able to bounce back rather quickly. My surgery was on a Wednesday and I was back to work that following Tuesday. I had to get lipo under my breasts, but not on top. The 5.5 pounds was taken from my breasts. Yes, I'm 5.5 pounds lighter due to losing "tittie meat, LOL. Dr. Pratt is ahhh-mazing!

The camera is a bit deceiving, and I look bigger on the pictures than I actually am. I went from a E to a 38C. I understand your sentiment on not wanting to lose your femininity. I felt the same way and for days after surgery, I thought I had a boy's chest. But that's just the effects of losing so much breast tissue; it's like your mind is playing tricks on you. Now when I look in the mirror, I love my size and the way I look in clothes. I'm only 5'2'' and 150 pounds, so 38C is perfect for me. My breasts are round and perky, and while they are still healing to their final shape (i.e., I will lose some perkiness but they will still look great), I haven't lost my excitement and am still very happy with the outcome.

The countdown is on! Good luck to you! Indeed, it is a life changing experience. I plan on going back to the gym. I don't have to give clothes away that I thought I would never be able to wear again. During conversations, people actually look at my eyes and not my chest (LOL)! Everything will be different for you, but different in a "good" way :)

The pictures - especially my 1 day post-op - are a bit deceiving. I kept size but its still significantly smaller to me, especially knowing where I started from. It's going to take a while for healing to finalize but since my surgery, I have steadied at 38C.

Ohhh ok. Glad ur happy with the surgery. its life changing

I feel great. My healing process is, for the most part, completed. The only downside is the dark scaring on my breasts; however, I have been advised that I will be able to lighten the scars with the appropriate products. I am still a 38C. All hardness in both breasts are gone.

You're going to be a lot of people's wish pic, you had a great result. I couldn't really see your scars at three weeks so I'm sure you'll be able to lighten them easily. Your review was great, thanks for updating, it's nice to see long term results.

WOW! Thank you for the awesome compliment. I encourage anyone that is considering this surgery to take into consideration my testimony of the process, so I welcome my pictures to serve as motivation. My scars are somewhat dark now but I am looking into lightening them. I will update regarding that process.

Absolutely! You're welcome! I feel that it's very important to continue to post post-procedure updates to give a realistic portrayal, after all, healing doesn't stop just months after surgery.
