Hi guys! I can’t believe it has been over a year now since my surgery. Life gets busy as you all know, but I wanted to update everyone on my status. Since my last post I have had a mammogram and ultrasound. The lump is just fatty tissue and nothing concerning. It has gone down considerably in size and is not visible anymore. I can still feel it if I massage my breast but it doesn’t bother me so I plan on just leaving it there.
As far as retention goes, I’m not sure how to determine that since it’s so difficult to know what was swelling and what was the actual fat.
I can say that I finally got measured and fitted and right now I’m wearing a size 34 DD bra. I’m assuming, since it has been a year now, that this is my final result. I’m very happy with my results and being healthy again. Love my real self, and wish all of you ladies the same happiness ????

5 month update
So it's been 5 months now and I feel like I'm 100% back to normal. I still have an egg sized lump in my left breast which doesn't seem to be going away but I'm not really concerned about it. I do have an ultrasound scheduled this month so I'll see what they say. If it's not problematic to my health I'm going to leave it as it doesn't bother me. I'm still very satisfied with my results and happy I went through with this.

Glad you are feeling back to normal! Sorry you have to deal with that lump. I'm worried about getting lumps myself, but I agree with you that I would probably just leave it there if it poses no health concerns. Congrats on your natural results!
Hi! What does Dr. Bednar say to your lump? Your breasts look very beautiful but an egg size is not really tiny ... It's surely harmless but nevertheless it hopefully goes away with time, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
I hope the egg sized lump is nothing!
I too am considering Bednar so I really appreciate your posting. May I ask how if you had to fly in? I live in Baton Rouge so I'm concerned about follow up visits and the cost involved. May I also ask what you paid and did you only have to do this once? There is a FT surgeon in New Orleans but he seems to need two to three sessions to achieve this kind of result...
I had fat breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Bednar in 2013. And I have also got an egg sized lump in my left breast. Ultrasound diagnosis that there is a hard mass and cannot be aspirated. So, four years since, the lump still there. I am reading this website and I see some of Dr. Bednar patients have the same issue. I hope he will read our reviews and improve his technique. I would like to have one more surgery but I cannot accept any more lumps…

So I'm back to all normal activities and I must say I have never felt better. I feel better than I did before implants and waaay better than I did with implants. I am finally free to be me and I'm loving my life. Super happy and thankful that I was able to do this now before any health problems came up with the implants.
The few things that I do notice : 1) I still have slight tenderness on my hips in spots from lipo but it's not bad enough to bother me 2) I have a decent size lump in each breast under my old scar but is not painful and has gone down in size over the past few weeks so I'll keep an eye on that and see what happens 3) I love hugging my loved ones! it's been so long since I've enjoyed a real hug without the feeling of something between us (the implants)
Very happy I did this and beyond pleased with my choice of surgeon, his team and the overall experience.

Amazing retention! I'm one month out and crossing my fingers for the same! Congrats!!:)
Yes! And thank you! Congrats on yours also :)
You look amazing!! What was your size before/after implant removal?
Hi! I wore a 36C before implant removal and now I'm wearing a 34D bra. The natural breasts are wider and don't project as much but are soooo much better :)
Congratulations on your outcome! You have by far the most amazing retention I've seen so far. I am scheduled for three weeks with Dr. Bednar as I'm fortunate to be relatively local (2hr drive). I look similar to you now (but I'm 5'10" and 55) and he will do the same as yours; remove implants and keep capsule and release any other scar tissue if possible. But I have had implants for 32yrs with 10 various surgeries over the years (5 different implants) so unfortunately he isn't as positive sounding with my results as with yours (I have the areola incisions as well). He says he won't really know what he's dealing with until he goes in. Trying to decide whether to post my progress and results on here since I've been through implant hell. Sounds like I may be his biggest challenge yet, yay me! I'd love to know what minerals/vitamins besides his and nutrition routine you did prior and post surgery if possible. Also curious to know what your before implant size was? Thanks for your help and so happy for you!! Thank you for posting, gives me hope!!
Hi I just saw your comment! Hope your surgery went smoothly and you are recovering well. As far as my nutrition goes, honestly I try to eat healthy but I eat everything. I try to eat as much organic fruit, vegetables as I can and I cook all of my meals. I don't eat microwave dinners, or fast food really. I didn't take any supplements other than Dr. Bednar's since I'm not good about taking extra stuff. As far as size, before I ever got pregnant I was a full C. After nursing I was a deflated B. After implants I was a 36C but looked way bigger and now I'm a 34D. Sorry so late but hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply but Dr. Bednar actually cancelled the surgery because of my heart murmur and claimed his surgery suite wasn't equipped if anything happened (even though my cardiologist gave me a total clearance)...I suspect he was worried more about the outcome. I can't tell you how disappointed and upset I was because without realizing it I'm sure, he's now putting me at greater risk! He recommended two doctors that have terrible reviews on here so I ended up going back to my original doctor who did the last implant and he has agreed to do it but I don't think he has as much experience with fat grafting to the breast as Dr. Bednar so I'm really nervous (but he seems to actually be more confident with the outcome than Bednar was)! I was much smaller than you after nursing (small B if even) so don't think I have much breast tissue left after so many surgeries so not expecting my end results to be quite as good as yours. I'm sure I'll need to do this twice but thanks so much for the info! I will definitely take the supplements from Dr. Bednar if I don't get any from current doc. He's also doing a capsulectomy which Dr. Bednar wasn't...wonder why some leave it in? Any ideas?
I think they all have different opinions on the importance of taking it out. I believe Dr. Bednar uses it as a barrier or something during the fat transfer but I'm not sure. I'm sorry he cancelled on you, but considering he doesn't do the surgeries in a hospital I don't think I'd personally feel comfortable having it done there if I had a heart murmur. I do believe he puts patient safety first and am glad you'll have your surgery done in a place and by a person who feels confident in their skills and has your safety and well being in mind. Best of luck to you on your journey. Oh and also I probably would need a second round of fat transfer by other people's standards but I'm just so happy to be me I won't even consider that.
Thank you for such a detailed explanation of your breast fat transfer and explant. Your breasts look perfect and it sounds like you did everything your doctor told you to do including having patience and persistence. All of this information has made it possible for me to go forward with a breast fat transfer. Thank you do much!!
You're welcome and good luck!
You haven't updated for quite a while, hope everything is ok? Please, share with us :-) The best of luck for your further recovery!
Everything is great! Sorry for not responding sooner. After obsessively being on this forum pre-surgery once you're in recovery you kinda need a break and get back to life lol.

the fat in your breast, I have it also. Mine is from my transfer fat.
It hurt when I started to wear an unwire bra, I am now 10 months after surgery. I got my implants removed and lipo with fat transfer to my breasts.
