I’ve still retained a fair amount of fat. I’m still happy with my results. I have lost more size with all my running, but I seem to still have the same ratio between band and bust (currently 27.5” band 33.5” bust).

Your results are amazing... wish I could make the journey from Florida to Charlotte to see the same doc!
Thanks! You’re closer to him than me. I had to travel from NM.
Would you say you've lost fat on other parts of your body since starting to work out again? Like your stubborn areas and have your breasts gotten smaller? I want to lose 5 pounds of fat (I am 2 mos. PO) and want to know if I should expect a Decrease in breast size as well
Btw they look great! We were very similar and I'm Hoping to have similar results.
you probably will notice a small decrease in breast size if you lose a bit of weight, but it’s my understanding that you don’t lose the fat cells, they just got smaller.
you said you trained for a marathon, did you lose weight and breast size?
Congratulations - as is seems you've retained most of the transferred fat! Do you think your outcome would be the same if Dr. Bednar would have done the explant and FT at the same time? I'm very glad for you!
Congrats on a happy recovery. Do you have any front photos?

Over 6 months now

Measurements today are 29” band, 35” bust. I feel like I did lose some upper pole fullness, but overall, I’m very happy I have normal looking breasts. I’m very pleased to have retained most of what was transferred. I’m running a lot right now, training for a marathon, and I haven’t noticed any additional volume loss.

so awesome! I had implants removed and i've been waiting to do this. I think I'm going to commit this winter. what was your pre and present bra size?
is it still 34 c?
I haven’t been officially measured. I can wear a 34 C , but I also have a couple 34 Bs that work too.
Pre implants I was 34 A. After explant I couldn’t fill out an A cup. Now I fill out a B cup easily and some C cups
also, do you have any lumps? they look great btw. totally natural. we're not 19 anymore so slopier breasts are better
Thank you! No lumps at all. The right side is a little “slopier” than the left. If I can arrange it, I’d love to do a little touch up in that area.
We are almost exactly the same shape pre sx I'm a little worried about the empty breast tissue Do you have any big lumps?
Congratulations on your procedure! I'm happy for you and I'm so happy for your results. I really want to take my implants out and have Dr. Bednar do my fat transfer to the breast. I'm just curious to know if you could share with me the doctor that did your implant removal? Thank you so much.
Thank you JesseyP! I feel so much better since my explant, over a year ago. I would not hesitate to recommend getting your implants removed. My explant surgeon was Dr. Maxwell in Tucson.
Thank you so much for the recommendation.
they look great, I'm hoping for similar results

New Underwire Bra

Now that I'm past the 3 month mark, I had True&Co send a bra for a small fee to wear for awhile and try it out. The 34 C fit perfectly and the bra is very comfortable, and yes, I'm sunburned, lol.

The bra is actually from Third Love, not True&Co
so did you do the fat graft surgery twice? to get the most fat to take --are you still 2 sizes larger and happy with results?
I had a fat transfer done at the same time I had my saline implants removed, but all that fat died. That surgery was with a different surgeon.
oh, ok, so you did the fat transfer surgery again (second time) with Bednar. That must have been expensive! are you still a full C size CUP? i am researching as much as possible before doing this.....so thank you for answering my questions! I am 48 years old, never had children, 5' 7, 156 lbs, I HATE my stomach pooch and breasts have always been too small compared to the rest of my figure. Size A CUP. i am not a candidate to put a foreign object in my body----that just scares me to get implants. but fat transfer i would do. I would be very happy with one cup size larger and super happy if i could get 2 cups larger like you!!! I am wondering if because you had implants before that created the space to fill? to get you up to a C cup. I have heard that most of the fat gets lost and many people dont think its worth it yet, The before after photos on Dr. Bednars website are the best i've seen!! and i have looked at many!! wondering if after a year or two the results stay!! thank you!!!!!!!!
so i am guessing that since you are past 3 months, you will not lose any more? and remain at a full C cup? was that confirmed by your Doctor? reading through this entire post was sure helpful!!!!!! there is not nearly enough info that i can find out there about fat transfer to breasts and especially about the retention of the fat!! Thank you for sharing your journey!!!, so i can make an educated decision. i am so tired of wearing my victoria secret bombshell bra to put me up two sizes. (takes me from A cup to C cup) :)
I'm glad you found the posts helpful! You're correct, Dr. Bednar did say the fat is stable now and I should retain everything from here on out, which is a C or a small D cup. Dr. Bednar's technique seems to be the most successful for fat retention. Good for you for not wanting to put implants into your body! You will not regret that decision. Your best bet is Bednar if you want to increase 2 cup sizes. Not having had implants improves your outcome, I think, since you won't have scar tissue. Nursing 4 babies, plus the implants did give me extra space for fat, but also scar tissue.
The implants did give you scar tissue - what does that mean? Do you feel the scar tissue yet and is it bothering you, sorry I don't understand ...
I can't feel the scar tissue, but anytime you have surgery you will develop scar tissue as your body heals. Once you put implants in your body, scar tissue starts to form around the implant. Damage is done to the breast tissue when you put implants in.
