Doing well, lost 20 pounds about 6-9 months ago & gained back 10 over the past 3 months. Breasts got smaller when i lost the 20, but good now that I have the 10.
Lumps are present but it’s not a big deal.no pain & mammograms are clear.
Would still recommend this surgery with the right doc.

18 Month Update- still happy but a little lumpy
So, here we are 18 months out. About 3 or 4 months ago, I noticed a few lumps in both breasts. They don’t hurt and are not visible...
I had my first mammogram in June 2019 before I noticed the lumps coincidentally. I just got it because I had turned 40 and was supposed to have one but had put it off a little while because I was giving my body time to heal after the fat transfer. And, I was busy. I told them about the surgery when I had the mammogram done. The results of the mammogram were good. Dense but healthy breast tissue. But, the mammogram itself did hurt! I think it had too a little though to ensure good quality images with dense breast tissue.
Overall, very happy aesthetically and physically at 18 months. I would highly recommend this surgeon and this procedure.

Before implants my mammograms used to hurt. Now I found a different tech experienced with implants. The last 2 years have been great, pain free and I have heterogeneously dense breast tissue.
Maybe you can ask for a different tech or ask for one that's trained/experienced with implants bc they're much gentler. Good luck. Did you ask the PS if there's anything you could do about the lumps? Isn't that normal or a risk after FT?
Wow, that’s really good to know. Thanks. I will try asking for a different tech experienced with implants. Regarding the lumps, it is a pretty normal risk after FT. I have not mentioned it to the PS yet though.
I'm looking into getting a lift with fat transfer to fill. Would you recommend this over implants? I'm kinda not wanting implants now because of all the potential risks.
Well, I personally didn’t love the feeling of implants nor the likelihood of future surgeries, nor the possibility of complications. . I like the fat transfer with the right surgeon over breast implants any day for me. It really depends what you want to get out of it, your surgeon, and your compliance with post surgery protocol. The fat transfer also will not drastically change the shape of your breast nor give you the upper pole fullness some people achieve with implants. It will give you an increase (mine was about 1-1.5 cups when everything settled and is sustained 18 months later). Except for the minor issue with a few small lumps, Iam very happy. It was still worth it. Good luck with your decision. I hope that helped.
Just to add a comment on mammograms: it makes a huge difference where you go to have them done. I have implants and found an amazing mammogram imaging center that is specifically experienced in working with implants, and oh what a difference it makes! I know you don’t have implants, but this is still an important aspect for all us ladies who’ve had breast work done. Ask, ask, ask at your imaging center about their machinery (there are mammography machines that are better equipped for breast surgery patients) and also about the technicians. A technician who is experienced with implants is worth her weight in gold!

10 month update
Iam happy to say that nothing has changed since the 4 month mark!!! No loss in volume nor any lumps in the breasts.
I am due for a mammogram because I am 41, but I don’t have any concerns. I will just make sure they know my history.
I could not be much happier with the results. I think I underestimated the increase in a prior update. Iam easily a 34D or 32DD in most bras. The right breast went up about a cup and the left about 2 cups to address my asymmetry. Very natural results.
The lipo scars are still present but fading. The butt shape is great, I never had any projection and now that dr Bednar lipo’d the fat from my lower back, I do! It’s great! The only negative about shape is that my hips are very straight from the lipo to the mid section. No hourglass, but I didn’t really have one before! It’s not really a big issue though. Overall, I am very satisfied with the results.
