Day 60 pics

WORTH IT$11,250
I just had my 60 day follow up call, and everything's going well! The last month has been entirely uneventful, and I've had little to no additional volume lost. I did put a little weight back on (like, 3 or 4 lbs) which may be offsetting any minor volume loss I'm experiencing ; I'm excited to get back to regular workouts & see where things land -- and just generally stop being so mindful of my breasts all the time!
I still have some minor numbness/itching in my flanks & hips; the rest of the lipo areas (my thighs) feel totally normal, and I've not noticed any lumps, bumps or skin looseness as a result. My scars are coming along, but it's still early in that process, so I'll probably post scar pics with my final 90 day results. All in all, still one totally satisfied patient!

what bra size do you wear now?
I am currently a 32DDD or G - which sounds huge, but I'm 5'9" - in person, i don't look like someone with giant breasts, justll like they're full & proportionate. Also, I use the true underbust measurement standard; for comparison, VS measure me as a 36D.
Thanks for your post. Nice to what results look like for someone not in their 20s. I will also be getting the procedure around my 40th, no kids, and I booked it today!
Congrats! Yeah, I actually like that this procedure ultimately conforms to your natural shape; my boobs don't look 20 - just like really good 40 yr old boobs. And they'll continue to age from here, because I have *actual* boobs now, not plastic breast shaped accessories.
You seemed to have very little loss b/t Day 30 and Day 60, which is great. I am also planning to go in a low underweight for the same reasons. I am hoping that b/c it's harder to lose weight at this age, its also more stubborn! Your before looks similar to me, and I am hoping for a similar afterward, so I am excited!
That's great - are you going to Dr. Bednar as well? He (or whomever your doc is) will also usually try to take fat from the stubborn, exercise-resistant areas where you tend not to lose weight even when you're in your best shape - so that if you do lose weight in the future, you won't lose it in the breasts. :)
Yup Bednar :) Want to set myself up to win.
You definitely have. :) Feel free to message me directly if you have questions as the date approaches - of course Sylvia & the whole team there are amazing, but I know I had a few questions that I'd have been interested to get a patient's perspective on.
Thank you for that. I was going to ask that but realize everyone has their own life outside of RS. I appreciate that, as I also will be going alone, doing the nurse, and overall have the same plan/goals.
Getting it done first week of Oct so will be reaching out before then! I have had a food surgery that has made me immobile. I can start working out more next week, not goal is to lose any excess and ideally get 5lbs under in the next 3 months.
Good luck, and yes, feel free to reach out anytime!
You look amazing!! Dr Bednar seems to get the best results of anyone I've seen. I'm scheduled with him for Aug 29th - I'm so excited and so nervous!! I'm also tall and thin, so I chose him because I want to guarantee my results are the best they can be since this is my one shot at having more proportional boobs with FT (I'm a B cup now but I'm deflated from breast feeding). I'm only telling three people I'm having this done and am worried about concealing the garment and the swelling etc when ok back to work - how hard was that for you to do? How difficult was the recovery during the week after surgery? I live on a ranch and plan to take it easy on barn chores for a while but still want to do normal things like fix dinner and do laundry etc. Thank you so much for sharing your story - again, you look amazing!!
Hey there - congratulations on choosing Dr. Bednar & your upcoming procedure! Very exciting, and I remember how anxious I was a couple weeks out. I didn't find concealing the garment too hard, but I also work from home, so it was mostly for social dressing. Maxi dresses, ling skirts & long flowy tops over stretch pants will be your friends. I found any stiff fabrics like denim very uncomfortable on my skin for the first couple weeks, even over the garment. The surface area of your skin feels kind of numb but achey & any impact - say, bumping my hip on a door handle - produced seating pain.

But just getting around in life isn't too bad. I was back to light chores like laundry, sweeping and dishes by day 4 coma and probably would have been sooner except I didn't travel home until day 3. Just understand that your body will be going through major recovery, so even though the pain isn't terrible, you will get tired a lot quicker. I spent the first week mostly watching movies and TV, with breaks every hour or so to walk the dog, do the aforementioned chores or just stretch out.

I hope that helps! Feel free to message me directly if you have questions and I'm happy to provide whatever info I can.
Can you please tell what kind of muscle milk did you drink after surgery? And where you bought it? Thank you.
I got the Muscle Milk brand. I was able to find them at the grocery near my hotel, and I know Jamba Juice also carries them in their cooler.
Hi!!
any updates?? Have you had any necrosis or calcifications??

Day 1 vs. Day 40, and thoughts on weight loss

Found a pic from the day after surgery, vs. a pic today, day 40. They've dropped into a much more natural position, but I've only lost about an inch in the bust from day 1, with no loss since my one month check-in.
Also, for those considering BFT, I wanted to share that I lost a small amount of weight prior to surgery, in hopes that it ultimately results in larger breasts at the end of this process. I know the general recommendation is to be at your goal or "happy" weight when going into surgery, but I went a little under. The idea is: the number of fat cells you have remains static as an adult. With weight loss or gain, the cells themselves just grow or shrink, except in the case of extreme weight gain. So, if the doc is going to try to find 600ccs of fat, he needs to transfer a larger quantity of cells if the cells themselves are smaller. Then when you eventually go back up to your usual weight, the cells in your breasts will plump back up, helping to offset any volume loss.
I went into surgery 5 lbs under my usual weight (which was achieved through very moderate calorie restriction, but mostly increased exercise - I wanted to go in healthy, too). After surgery, I ate mostly clean for a couple weeks, then have gradually gotten back to my usual eating habits, which is mostly healthy, but dessert & the occasional fried foods are back on the menu, and my weight is slowly inching back up. I know it's only a matter of a few pounds, but according to some online chart I looked at, an increase of 1 cup size = a weight increase of ~1/4 lb per breast at my size, so if even a 10th of the weight I regain finds its way to my boobs, it would offset about a cup of lost volume. We'll see how that theory *actually* maths out in the end, but so far, so good! :)

Dr Bernar got so much volume for you and they look so natural! Hope you don't lose much over the next months. Have you noticed any lumps?
Thanks, me, too! :) No lumps, per se, but the upper pole/cleavage area on both breasts is still very firm; it's an area about the size of a chicken breast in the right breast, and a chicken thigh in the left that is more the consistency of muscle than fat, and I can sort of grab it & lightly move around as one big unified mass, if that makes sense. That was where I had the least tissue to start, and what was there was very firm, so Dr. Bednar believes that region has more scar tissue & perhaps some remaining swelling, both of which will slowly resolve over time. These areas have already become less distinct over the past week or so, so I have no reason to believe they won't resolve.

I will say that the only downside to having surgery out of town is that I have to rely on description to try to convey what's going on; it would be nice to be able to have an in-person follow up, but oh well - the benefits of going with Dr. Bednar vastly outweigh the downsides. I'll be visiting friends a few hours from Charlotte later in the summer, so will probably try to make an appt then if I still have any questions/concerns.
Thank you for your detailed response! haha i was imagining a 'chicken breast sized" area that is able to move around. Did Dr. Bednar say that the possibly scar tissue is from fat being injected into a firm tight, less tissue area?
Hope your plan works out for you, good luck! You look amazing!
Thanks, I hope so, too. :)
Did you inform Sylvia and Dr. Bednar of your intent to come in under weight? I'm doing something of the same thing, mostly a lifestyle change of more activity and a better diet. I have a good amount of muscle though, so I'm a getting a bit paranoid that I won't have enough fat for a decent transfer. And thanks for the detailed and informative posts! I feel like I'm learning a lot.
I actually didn't inform them, not for any particular reason, I just didn't think to discuss it, which seems silly in retrospect. It certainly couldn't hurt. He seems to do a great job of finding fat on everyone, though I'm tall, so have a lot of surface area to draw from. Mine came from all sides of my thighs, hips & flanks, he didn't have to touch my butt or abs.
I'm considering having this done but I'm worried about having enough fat. Another doctor told me if I tried it would disfigure my body because I don't have enough fat even though I'm 5'3 and weigh 145. Would you be willing to contact me directly? I have a few questions
Your results are amazing! My surgery is coming up soon and your review is one that helped me choose Dr. Bednar, so thank you for sharing. :) I also have my nipples pierced and I just got my pre op package which says to take all jewelry out for surgery. Were you able to keep yours in or did they just not close up during the surgery?

I forgot to note....

The doc had hoped to find 600ccs per breast, and actually wound up transferring 645ccs to each, which was a very pleasant surprise.

I should also mention: in addition to adding 3 inches in the broadest part of my bust, he significantly built the upper pole & cleavage area of my breasts, which is tougher to measure, but makes a huge difference in appearance. I now have a nice natural slope when braless & lovely cleavage in my recovery sports bra, something my fairly wide-set breasts & bony chest never allowed for, even in the push-up-iest of bras.

Wow! Super crazy retention at 1mo post op! It's reviews like your's that makes me want to just bite the bullet a travel to NC. I have a quick question for you, I didn't notice the scar on your left breast in your pre op photos, is that a result of the transfer? Also, on the topic of scarring, how are your lipo scars on the rest of your body healing so far?
Hi there! Exciting you're considering BFT, and Dr. Bednar -- as nervous as I was to have surgery in a different town, Dr. Bednar's team made me so comfortable. And the travel expenses are pretty minimal compared to the price of surgery -- especially considering that my local surgeon said I'd need two rounds of fat transfer to achieve the results close to what Dr. B got me in one.

As to the mark on my breast, that's actually not a scar, but a bruise, which is from the surgery. All my lipo bruising cleared up between week 2 - 3), so not sure why that one was so persistent, but it wasn't a problem, and has actually almost disappeared since those pics were taken.

My lipo scars are coming along; Dr. Bednar provides biocorneum, which you can't start using until all scabs and crusting have resolved - for me, that was about week 3, so scar treatment in earnest has really just begun. I've been combining it with silicone tape (I skipped the spendy pre-cut scar strips & ordered some mepitac silicone tape from Amazon, which as about 10x cheaper.)

The scars under my breasts & along my bikini line are quite small & already don't bother me much -- I have scars from mole removals that are more prominent. The ones on my low back & under each butt cheek are more noticeable, both in placement & size - which I think is partly my fault, as I didn't catch them to remove the stitches before they scabbed over. I already predict that the butt ones might be a minor annoyance forever, but c'est la vie; the only person looking at my butt that closely is my husband, and he's more than happy with the trade-off. :)
Congrats on your results. I'm 2.5 weeks post op with Dr. Bednar and also missed out on removing a stitch under my butt. I made the mistake of having my husband trim the ends of the stitch that was poking me instead of fully removing it 3 days ago and its now infected. That scar is probably not going to look very good. Hope the Biocorneum works for both of us!
Congrats to you on your BFT, too! I hope you're healing well & happy with your results so far! You are on the downslope of what was, for me, the most unpleasant stage - not the most painful, but I was SO over the garment/spanx by then. Now I just can't wait to sleep braless again, and to know *for sure* what i get to keep. ;) Good luck!
You look amazing! I hope you continue to do updates if anything changes. I heard 3 months is when it usually stabilizes
Amazing. You look great. Thank you for the detailed narrative!

Could you please continue to post on progress and fat retention? Also did you experience any lumps or fat necrosis? Thanks again'
At this stage, the top center (cleavage) area of my breasts still feels hard, about the consistency of a tensed muscle, but this is a combination of some residual swelling & internal scar tissue, and is slowly softening over time. I've had a couple areas that felt like little lumps that have resolved, but I'm still touching my breasts very gently at this stage, and really, it's too early to tell what is swelling, scar tissue or possibly actual necrosis. My understanding is that there will always be some necrosis (literally, just the fat cells dying), but ideally, this occurs somewhat uniformly & those cells are simply reabsorbed & flushed out of the body. Where it becomes problematic is if cells are placed such that larger areas aren't able to establish a blood supply & you get clumps of dead tissue. I don't have any reason to believe that's occurred, but will definitely continue posting & should have a better idea over the next couple months.
Thank you! Congrats again on your amazing results.
Hi! Youre results are looking so good!
Did Dr bednar make you remove your nipple piercings for the surgery? Or are those new piercings? :) I thought i would have to remove mine and let them heal to do this surgery with Dr bednar but maybe not?? Thanks for the great posts
Hi there! These are not new piercings, and I was likewise concerned about that, given how quickly they heal. To be on the safe side, I bought a new set of internally-threaded, 1" barbells prior to surgery (I typically wear 1/2", so this allowed plenty of room for swelling.) I kept them in the sealed, sterilized bag & gave them to the nurse the morning of surgery - and removed my existing barbells while undressing for surgery. The nurse put the new bars in before I woke up, so it was all super easy -- I was just careful to treat them like new piercings again for the first couple weeks, washing with antibacterial soap & applying emu oil a couple times a day.

I will say: I'm not sure I'll be able to go back down to 1/2" again; I tried to change them out a few days ago & it's looking like I'll need to size up just a little. There may be a little swelling yet, but if my nipple's grew an 1/8", so be it. :)
Thanks for all the info. Glad to hear I won't have to give up the piercings and try to have them redone later!
You look awesome! I have some questions on scar care. How did you find out about mepitac silicone tape? Is that tape the best kind since it has silicone in it? Are you wearing the tape all the time on your scars? I am using paper tape and wondering if I should switch. Thanks.
