I always had nice breasts, they weren't big but at least they were perky. After having the kids my breasts never really recovered. I have friends who have had troubles with implants making them sick or rupturing. I didn't want to take the chance of having that happen to me - and didn't want the maintenance of implants having to redo them every 10 years. When I heard about the fat transfer procedure I knew that if I did anything it would be the fat transfer. I decided to do the breast fat transfer and sicne I was already under I figured I'd do fat transfer to my face as well.
Day 1 - 2 I was swollen and sore but could manage getting around slowly. My breasts feel just like when your milk comes in after you have a baby. Full, uncomfortable but not painful. My face is another topic. I can't recognize myself and have had thoughts of "why did I do this to myself"? When I feel this way I look through other peoples reviews and they went through the same thing. I trust Dr. Bednar immensely so I'm going to deal with my inner worrywart. I've also had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics which has caused the most issue in recovery so far. I got hives head to toe and they itch like crazy. (this is not a poor reflection on Dr. Bednar at all as I have a laundry list of allergies to begin with) The compression garmet made the hives worse so I ditched it. I hope it doesn't cause a problem with my results but there is no way that I could wear it with the hives as it just made them worse. I'm just wearing the tightest pair of yoga pants that I have and hoping for the best! Dr. Bednar and Sylvia have been great keeping in contact to see how I'm doing.
Day 3 - I woke up this morning and my knee/leg swelling is way down -- dare I say my legs look close to normal! I took a shower this morning and was amazed at my body. I'm still very very bruised but can see what an amazing job Dr. Bednar did!!! My face still looks horrible but I can tell the swelling in my chin is receding.
Day 4 - My breasts are starting to soften and my face less tight. Not really much change in the bruising though and I'm still very tender. My allergist put me on prednisone and benadryl for the hives and those are starting to recede too. Honestly, the worst part of the recovery has been dealing with the hives. I'm surprised by how well I feel from the surgery part.

Sorry to hear about the allergic reactions but glad the surgery went well. Next time you have a chance to update your review, we would love to hear the details on how much fat was transferred, etc. Sometimes this helpful information gets lost in the comments. ;) Congratulations and hope you're feeling a little better each day!
