After much, much browsing on this site I decided to make a profile so that I can ask questions of other people and share my upcoming BA. I am 27, 5ft 5 and fairly athletic. I have never been blessed so to speak in the chest area and getting implants has been something I have wanted to do for a while. I took the advice of some friends and family who have had breast augmentations and decided to look for a doctor who really knew what they were doing and were a provider of the new "gummy bear" type implants. After some internet research I decided to book a consult with Dr. Peter Capizzi here in Charlotte. My consult went well, the nurses and patient coordinators were all super friendly. The doctor and I talked about what I was going for and he measured my breast width. I tried on some sizers in a little bra they gave me and decided I liked the way the 400cc ones looked (more than I thought I had in mind). I have my appointment scheduled for two days before thanksgiving *financing pending*. I'm hoping everything works out so I don't have to schedule for later. I had a brief freak out about size after seeing someone else's augmented breasts, but I calmed down after looking at people's photos on the site. I was wavering on what profile I wanted but I'm now sure I want moderate for a more natural slope. I really love some peoples results they have had with anatomicals, but I am just not so sure that I want to go for them. My surgeon recommends the coobie bra, and I found a code for Bogo on them, so I think that is what I'll order, but I am also looking for reccomendations on a good front closure post surgery bra.

So I was originally supposed to have my surgery at the end of November, but care credit wouldn't raise my limit so now I have it scheduled for the last week of April. Bummer, but probably for the best. Another bummer is I had originally selected Sientra brand implants (435cc mod) and due to a fire in their factory they are for the foreseeable future not being sold here in the United States. I now think I will be going with mentor 400 cc mod+. I keep having these weird what if they are too small feelings. I know 35cc is nothing and the projection difference is slight, but it just sounded better. To go bigger I think I would have to go high profile, and at least 475, which just really isn't the look I want. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice comfy post op bras? I already planned on grabbing a coobie, but I think I would also like something with a front closure.

I think you'll be happy with the 400cc mod plus based on your stats. It'll look very natural! Mine are moderate profile but the brand Natrelle Inspira (which are an implant that is filled with more gel, so it has a mod plus effect) and there's still plenty of nice projection while still looking natural and not overly rounded on top. Best of luck ! I'm not even one week post op yet but I'll be sure to post more pics as I progress & the implants drop and fluff. also my surgical bra with from closure is by Merena. I have a black and a nude one. The front closure is adjustable and the straps are too so it's super customizable. They're a little pricey, but if you're going to be in it a lot (months) after healing it may be worth investing in one.

I actually emailed my doctor asking about the inspiras, but the front desk called me yesterday and said the sientras are back! I definitely need to check out those bras. Are the bottoms of them a good length away from your incisions?

Check out brilliant contours I have heard a lot of women on this site recommend them I think that's what I'm going to be getting.

I just looked at them! Made the mistake of looking at the 125 dollar one that looks like a torture device first, lol. But the dragon/butterfly ones seem much better.

Ha ha lol I did the same thing but yeah I agree the other 2 look way better and low enough if your doing crease incisions

Well my incision is transaxillary so the bra isn't touching the incisions but they're used for people with inframammary incision too. they're also on Amazon if you have Amazon prime or anything. I have one that is size medium and one that is size large, and I just adjust them to fit since the straps and front closure each have 3 adjustment options. Good luck !

Went to check in for my surgery at 6 am today. Was home and comfy by 9:30! Got some IV meds to relax me, walked to the or and quickly was out. That was a little scary as it was the first I've ever had anesthesia. Waking up wasn't fun, was woozy and seeing double at first but once I got home I had some breakfast and slept. I would say the most pain I've been in all day has been a 4/10. Been alternating tramadol and ibuprofen and am very comfortable. I can move my arms pretty easily and just needed help with things like opening drink tops. I got 435cc Sientra gummy bears, round and moderate profile.
Sounds like you've done some great research! Glad you realize the first few weeks post op aren't your "final results." Feel free to join the November 2015 breast augmentation surgery forum for some additional pre and post op support!
