WORTH IT$4,700
I flew from NY to NC for this procedure being that it is double the price in NY. Also, my mother lives down here and I needed her to help take care of my daughter and I during my recovery.
My experience with Dr. Yanez, Jennie Cogswell and the rest of the staff was amazing. Everyone was super nice and made me feel extremely comfortable. I got to watch a video before my consultation and before meeting the doctor. Dr. Yanez is very well educated on Breast Augmentation and made me very confident to have my procedure done by him.
Jennie Cogswell spent an hour, maybe more, with me trying on sizers and different profiles to make sure I was happy and getting the look I wanted. She was amazing. Before I even met her, she answered all of my questions via e-mail and also gave me her cell phone number. I even texted her after my consultation asking about a different size. Amazingly enough, she put it into the Vectra imagining system, sent me a picture via text and gave me a great explanation as for how the different size would fit my body. Super friendly, well educated and well spoken. It was like talking to a friend I've known forever!
My surgery was the day after my consultation. Went in at 6:30AM, got marked by Dr. Yanez, got my IV put in, then the anesthesiologist came in. The anesthesia kicked in immediately. I barely remember the walk to the operation room! When I woke up, the nurses were extremely nice as I was panicking that I couldn't take deep breaths, They served me water every time I asked and helped keep me calm. I was shivering so they gave me blankets and even heated them up for me!
Overall, I am beyond happy I chose to have my augmentation done here at Peidmont Plastic Surgery in Charlotte, NC. This entire office is super clean. Everything basically looks brand new. My implants look amazing and I'm only on day three. I love the treatment I received from everyone in the office and would definitely recommend others to get their plastic surgery done here!

Hematoma /Really Bad Bruise...
So I am 5 days post op. on day 4 , it was my first day off pain meds and I thought it would be safe to walk around in a field with my daughter. We were only out for about an hour, but my right breast was hurting the entire time. There came a point where I had to sit down for a few minutes because it would not stop hurting and I was having some trouble taking deep breaths. Went home, I was exhausted and fell asleep for about 5 hours. When I woke up, I was still feeling a throbbing pain going up and down the side of my right breast. I looked at it in the mirror and realized my bruise had turned reddish purple. That explains the pain.
I texted Jennie right away to ask her if it was normal. She paged Dr. Yanez who called me at his earliest convenience. He asked me a few questions such as if one breast was larger than the other or if I had done any strenuous activities, but I have literally laid in bed since the surgery and slept most of the days away until Saturday and I personally could not see extra swelling. My left breast has a small bruise, nothing serious and no significant pain.
Dr Yanez suggested they see me the following day, Easter Sunday, before noon. Dr. Yanez, Jennie & Trish all met me at the office around 11am. I am amazed that they would all take the time out of their day off, better yet, Easter to see me. Dr. Yanez compared each breast. He is not sure that it is a hematoma, but since I live in NY and have to go back to work, he thinks it would be best to open the incision and drain the blood instead of risking me having complications when I am hundreds of miles away.
So tomorrow, Dr. Yanez will open my incision, give me a drain for the day and back on Tuesday for a follow up. Of course this is not something anyone who just got breast augmentation wants to happen, but it is what it is. At least the staff at Peidmont Plastic Surgery are taking care of me .

Healing Process & Hematoma
As for the healing process after my breast aug, it want half as bad as I thought it would be. On the first post op visit Dr. Yanez showed me how he wanted me to lift my arms up over my head & it hurt at first but I didn't really have a problem doing it after that.
I was able to shower that day which was a little uncomfortable and awkward. My breasts were kind of tingly and it freaked me out so my shower was quick.
Every day it was easier to get out of bed. Only thing that really hurt was the transition from sitting down to standing up. That always hurt ... Kind of like heaviness in my chest& tingly.
Sleeping on my back started hurt after the first two days so I used a heating pad for one day. After that one day, sleeping on my back actually became comfortable! Just had to prop myself up with lots of pillows.
I had set up a table beside me with Chapstick, all my meds, my water, and my cell phone. It was not always easy to reach over and grab these things. Very uncomfortable until day 4.
Day 5 is when I knew something was wrong because my right breast kept throbbing when I had no pain in my left. Couldn't breathe well and also had a huge reddish-purple bruise near my incision.
On day 6, Dr. Yanez had me come in first thing in the morning to drain the Hematoma. Luckily, it was not bad enough to have to remove and replace the implant. When I woke up, I had a drain connected to me. I couldn't lift my arm, had to keep it bent and elevated. I didn't know where the drain was coming from at first, but I cried because it felt like someone stabbed me and burned the wound on fire. Cried from when I woke up to when I got home & the pain meds kicked in(I was staying 10-15 mins from the office). I slept pretty much the entire day propped up with pillows and also had my arm propped with pillows to keep it elevated because the drain was so uncomfortable.
Dr. Yanez had drained 50mL of blood during the surgery. At home, the train took about 15mL of blood.
Day 7, back to the doctor. He checked my breast to make sure the hematoma was all drained, showed me how to massage my breast and allowed the nurse to take out the drain tube.
OMG the most disgusting, nauseating, painful thing I have ever felt. Imagine 4 inches of tubing being pulled from your armpit.
Thankfully, I finally feel human again. I'm able to do everything comfortably and I only have a bit of soreness in my breast.
