I've always been very fit with small breasts (very small 34b - and sometimes 34a) but they never bothered me because they were pretty perky and nicely shaped. After breastfeeding both of my kids, they're sad and droopy and they bother me - I don't feel confident about them anymore. They're almost concave on the top. :( My husband and I are separated and thinking of going out in the dating scene at this stage has made me realize I should conquer my fears and get this procedure done. I'm thrilled that it's my own fat and not an implant although I do wish there was more guarantee of size and shape. I'm also a little concerned with running after a 3 year old and 5 year old while recovering. But after all of my research, I'm going with Dr. Bednar who seems to get pretty great results and I'm crossing my fingers that it's the same for me (fingers and toes!!). My procedure is tomorrow and I thought I'd document it since it's been so helpful to read everyone else's story. He'll be taking fat from my lower back, stomach, hips and thighs and transferring into the breast. I really hope he takes much more from my back and stomach than from my thighs and I feel like I have much more there and would be happy to have a flatter stomach. We'll see how it goes. Send me positive surgery vibes!

One day post

My surgery was actually yesterday (Real Self has me one day off). Surgery itself seemed to go smoothly. I was super nervous but honestly, I went to sleep in a second and woke up when it was time to go back to the hotel so it was fine. I'm definitely swollen - pictures of the swelling attached. I'm also uncomfortable but it's not bad. The lipo areas are the most uncomfortable places. I haven't taken a pain med yet today and I'm thinking of changing to tylenol. Dr. Bednar took a little bit of fat from a lot of places - back of legs, thighs, lower back, lower stomach. He ended up with 420ccs in each breast. He was hoping for 450ccs so that's pretty close. It's interesting how we see our bodies vs. reality sometimes. I really think I have a lot of fat but I guess not as much as I thought! A good reminder to not be so hard on myself. Overall, feeling good and hoping it stays that way. Thanks to the recommendation for the Go Girl thing to pee - worked really well. Off to eat my first real meal since two days ago!

Good luck with your recovery! I also have an athletic body type. Larger muscular legs and very thin upper body. I'm hoping for about 500cc per side too but worried he won't find that much. My surgery is scheduled for next week - and trying not to get too nervous. Looking forward to your updates!

Good luck! Yeah - he was hoping for more for me but I am really muscular and there just wasn't that much there. I seriously thought there was more fat in my stomach and lower back but I think that was me being hard on myself. Still, he managed to find 420ccs each side which I think it awesome and I'm really happy with how it all looks so far. If anyone can find it, he can! I was totally nervous going into it as well but everyone in the office is so great and honestly, the procedure will be over before you know it. You're going to be really happy on the other side!

Took off the bandage
dancingddApril 29, 2017
I finally took off the ace bandage and am wearing the sports bra. I'm pretty bruised (I bruise really easily and I have been icing my lipo sites a lot more than my breast area). I'm pretty happy with the results so far. I look fuller but not too big for my body as I'm petite (5'2"). Now I just hope it all stays!!!

Looking good so far! Your breasts look to have filled up like mine. Looks like we both have much more fullness on top. Yes I hope it stays too! You don't look too swollen though. My doctor did ask me to ice my breasts, but said it was my choice. I iced them only 10 min per hour, when I was awake, the first 3 days of recovery. Not sure if it helped or not.

Yes, I don't think I have too much swelling - at least I hope not! But definitely bruising everywhere. How are you feeling today? Day 3 is feeling so much better to me. Can't wait to be feeling a lot better. You look great in your last pic!

Yay! You look great! Are you feeling pretty good? Hope it goes well once you get back home to your little ones! I've been kind of hunching my back and leaning into hugs that way to protect my boobs. Seems to be working and my 4 year old is fine with piggy back rides, haha. Wishing you all the best!

Thanks! Feeling a lot better today. Such a difference for me between day 2 and day 3. I hope it gets even better tomorrow! I think the hunching and piggy back rides are a really good idea. I do bedtime by myself this week for 3 nights so I really need to be careful. I'm also going to try to hide my body a bit from them which might be interesting until the bruising goes down a bit. You're looking amazing too! I can't wait to be one month in!
