From the moment I walked into Dr. Smiths office I knew my experience there would be different. I have had several cosmetic procedures over the past 13 years and I have never felt more comfortable and at ease in a physicians office. My previous doctor was located in Raleigh and he retired last year. I wasn't thrilled with my results so the timing was right to find someone new. If you are looking for a surgeon you know how overwhelming that can be. Finding someone you trust with your body, self-esteem, and life is no light matter. The minute I met Dr. Smith I liked him immensely. He answered all my questions with thoughtfulness and detail. He talked to me about his concerns regarding my case and together we devised a surgical plan that we were both excited about! We decided to revise my breast augment with smaller implants...mine were much too large for my frame and were pulling on my skin causing severe sagging. He also performed liposuction on my inner thighs and the back of my arms. A posterior body lift was also done to balance out the tummy tuck that I had received four years ago. All in, it was a 7.5 hour long procedure. I was very nervous going into the operating room ( who wouldn't be??) but Dr. Smith and his staff made me feel very comfortable and I was asleep before I knew it! I woke up feeling great! No nausea and I was honestly only mildly uncomfortable! I couldn't believe I wasn't in more pain after all the work I had just had done!!! To top it all off, I was off pain meds ( during the day ) 4 days later!! I just didn't need them which again, was shocking to me! My follow up visits went just as smoothly. Everything is healing beautifully and my scarring is minimal.... and Im only 5 weeks out of surgery! Every day I wake up feeling and looking better. I cannot stress enough how happy am with my results and I have Dr. Smith and his team to thank for it. I don't believe Ive ever met a surgeon who truly demonstrates such passion for what he does and the positive impact it has on his patients the way Dr. Smith has. He truly loves changing peoples lives for the better and you can see that when he talks to you. He is honest, knowledgable, and has an impeccable bed side manner when dealing with his patients. If you are in the Charlotte area or close to it I could not recommend a more skilled physician for you to see... he truly has changed my life and I will be a life long patient of his.
