29 Yr Old. Breast Fat Transfer W/ Dr. Bednar. Charlotte, NC

Alright so now that my review got posted I can go into a bit more detail. I arrived in Charlotte after tons of flight delays (storms) and got to my room at the Hampton Inn. Side note: I highly recommend this hotel, also the fact that it is next to Whole Foods is perfect for me. Starting the day after the surgery i walked over to Whole Foods and got a green smoothie with vegan protein and some other fresh veggie stuff. Sylvia has also dropped off a bag of snacks and good stuff from there with a sweet card signed by the whole staff which was really nice and made me feel more at ease. Sylvia also picked me up from the hotel in the morning to take to the office for my surgery! I hadn't met with Dr. Bednar prior to this day- booked off reviews and photos and phone conversations- as others have mentioned Dr Bednar was kind and professional and accommodating, I was clear about where I wanted my incisions and concerns about unevenness on my inner thighs and he listened. I also had my photos taken prior to surgery. I don't remember much else besides being marked up and having my photos taken, lol. Woke up and THANK GOD I have a family friend in Charlotte who also used to be a nurse who came to pick me up and stayed with me at the hotel the first night. The nurse background isn't necessary though and I pretty much knew what I was doing since this wasn't my first rodeo re: fat transfer. Here are the main things: he took from my lower abdomen, lower back, and backs of thighs. He transferred 250cc into each breast. I am using Arnica cream, taking Arnica/bromelain tablets, vitamins, Serrapeptase supplement for scar tissue, a Turmeric/MSM supplement, and some colon tablets. I see Dr. Bednar again on Monday. My body feels really swollen... It's only day 2 so I'm trying not to look in the mirror that much and just relax but I've been moving around a bit. Feel fine.

Sending you healing vibes. Thanks for your regime, will follow For my fat transfer. Have had this once already with my mastectomy and know Lipo is no joke, to do it voluntarily is brave. You go girl!! The end is worth it.
Thank you:)
You look great! Keep us posted on how much you change over the next several months.

You look quite thin. do you know how much the Dr. Had to harvest to get 500cc of transferable fat?
I don't think he throws much away... So I would say around 500. I didn't ask that. He said he found 500 so yeah.
I hope you have a smooth recovery!
Thank you!
So I have a question. How long does this fat transfer last? The reason I ask is, if the fat disappears down the road, is it going to leave you with loose skin? Kind of like after nursing your babies, down the road your breasts tend to sag and you loose the natural volume. I really want to do this and prefer the fat transfer option. So the first time you did it was it a minimal change, this the reason for doing it again? Or did you loose volume?
You can see my before shot... I didn't have loose skin. With this procedure the doc can put the fat in your upper part of your breast if you've lost volume up there. He did that for me and also in the cleavage area. With any surgery, I am really swollen right now, but swelling will go down and no there wasn't any loose skin or anything. My final result from the first surgery was present at about 3-4 months. I kept maybe 60-70% of the fat. I just wanted to do it again, felt I had some more problem areas to lipo, etc
I also saw dr bednar, I'm almost a year post and my bteast look great. I'm considering doing it again (I'd like to be just slightly larger and also, my abdomen and inner thighs weren't lipoed and I've noticed that's now where I gain all my weight, so I'd like a little lipo on them as well.) You look great and will love the result, good thing you picked Bednar! I was wondering how you came up with the list of vitamins/supplements to take, and how long before did you take them. I had great results with scars diminishing and quick recovery last time, but I'm open to making things go even smoother if I can:) Thanks for the review, it's very helpful for everyone.
Thanks! Well I have had a couple rhinos in past which I took these things for swelling/bruising/healing then as well and am part of the Miss J message board, they're all gurus on there. Have just picked up some things here and there and by researching myself- if you google Serrapeptase you can find out about its help re: scar tissue. Also I just know a lot about holistic type stuff already- MSM is great for this surgery and Turmeric is amazing for inflammation and swelling. The Arnica capsules Sylvia sent are good too. I just ordered a machine off Amazon similar to the Wellbox for the lipo areas. Be careful with the inner thighs because they're the riskiest as far as irregularities and sagging so better to be conservative in that area IMO.
How much fat do you think you retained from the first procedure? I've heard in the 2nd procedure the fat tends to stay more as well so hopefully that's the case:)
Okay so I just checked out your review, you look great, it seems you have those 2 incisions in the front creases too where your underwear hits- that's the incision for the abdominal area. So I'm a little confused you say he didn't lipo it?
I retained a decent amount. I'm still a full C. Thanks for the input on the inner thigh lipo, much appreciated :)
He made the incisions to do the abdominal as well, but he said he had already harvested enough fun before he got to the abdomen and didn't end up liposuctioning there (I know, I feel like I kinda got jipped;)
*fat, not fun. Hahaha
So where God he harvest your fat? Sorry if I missed it..,what was your BMI before? I'm not super skinny but doctors have told me to gain 5 pounds before I do it. I just don't want to mess with the shape of my legs too much.
I'd say my bmi was/is about 20%. I was 5'4" and 120. He harvested from my "muffin top" and hips/back of thighs.
ORIGINAL POST

So, I have actually had this procedure done before...

So, I have actually had this procedure done before about 3 years back (with a doctor in LA) but it was a pretty conservative change and I wanted to do it again! I kept seeing the reviews for Dr. Bednar and everything looked good so I booked the procedure on a whim and flew out to Charlotte a couple weeks later :)

Very well done!! Kat!
Thank you fir sharing. I have implants I want removed and I am considering this option. You look great. Hope you have your desired outcome.!!
You look great ! Do you know how much fat yoir surgeon put in your breasts (now and three years ago)?
250cc in each, not sure about last time, but it was less. I didn't have a lot of fat to take, mostly was taken from my legs/back/abdomen
There would be a lot of swelling right now hiding your final results!
How long your final results from previous fat transfer lasted??
I know
And permanently, thanks
Hi, I'm really interested in having this procedure, I really appreciate your feedback, I have a question though, after the three years did you're breast change or shrink, I heard at times the cells can die?
