This is my nose 10 months post-operative! Although some residual swelling remains near and around the nasal tip (especially in the morning,) I am most pleased with the refined and more elegant appearance. Again....a highly skilled surgeon!!!

up close shots of nearly healed nose
I finally located photos taken post-surgery and am overjoyed with the outcome. To reiterate: I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Freeman. He is a competent surgeon with a friendly disposition! I have posted some photos for comparison. Although these were taken many months ago, (and some swelling is apparent,) one can see the vast improvements on the textbook case of a previously "botched" rhinoplasty. Dr. Freeman is a Godsend.

Nearly at the one year mark...
I had an "open" revision procedure, thus, my surgeon informed me post-operative swelling would resolve around the one year mark. While the tip of my nose is still slightly puffy, especially in the morning, I am quite pleased to witness my nose finally begin to assume a more refined and definitive shape.

Your nose looks great! Did you have alar rim graft to your nostrils?

:-) We must be on similar wavlengths, as I just replied to your message from August 1st. I am unsure about the alar rim grafting. I do know that one of the major issues was the awful amount of hanging columella and the lack of cartilage support in my tip (the initial procedure was "closed". ) Dr. Freeman utilized the "open" approach, trimmed and tucked the excess columella, slightly narrowed the bridge, and used the what cartilage was still available in my nose to rebuild the infrastructure in both the bridge and the nasal tip (which was actually in the process of collapsing!) He had initially discussed the possibility of grafting from my ear, which proved (thankfully) unnecessary. Moreover, the deviated septum was impairing breathing through my left nostril, which was alleviated via the septoplasty (I can't believe I PAID the surgeon back in 1996 to mess up my poor nose!) Thank goodness for accomplished surgeons like Dr. Freeman.
Thank you for the compliment!
