With both of my children, I overindulged during their pregnancies and went up to 200 pounds. After lots of hard work and determination, I am back down to a size 6. I was left with a lot of extra skin on my stomach and decided it was time to take charge of my confidence. My husband didn't think I needed it because he's the sweetest man in the world, but he's been extremely supportive with my decision. He will be taking care of me and our two kids during my recovery.

My hope is to gain my full confidence back and be able to really immerse myself in moments with my family as opposed to being so self conscious about the way my body looks. It's no way to live. I went through the motions of feeling guilty for wanting this done, but my husband has done a pretty good job of making me feel like I deserve this.

I have been feeling more anxious as the procedure gets closer, especially about the drains, but I'm excited for what's to come!

You have a pretty awesome hubby there:)   You will love the results and will do well having all of the help.  The recovery is all a temporary process so keep the positive thoughts going.  The drains are annoying but they serve a good purpose and will come out quickly.  Don't be afraid of that at all.  You will get through this.

Thank you so much for your support. I'm a lucky gal, I will say. I just hope some of this anxiety subsides sooner than later!

I'm excited to watch your transformation! We have similar bodies, except I am 10 years older with double the kids! :) Keep us updated- April 6th will be here before you know it!

Thank you. I plan on updating with a ton of pictures. Currently I just want to have all my ducks in a row so that everything goes smoothly which causes me to stay up WAY too late looking at different peoples' advice. Are you getting a tummy tuck done as well?

Realself is my late night distraction, too! :) I'm hoping to get a TT around this time next year. Hubby just started a new job, so he needs to build up some time so he can take off to help me with the kids, and also we don't have all the cash saved up yet. We agreed that maybe I can get it during March Madness next year.....I'll be sleeping/laying around anyway, so he can watch basketball all day long- it seems like a win/win! :) Also, I'd like to lose 5 more pounds and live with that for a while to see if it "helps" my waistline any. I know it won't, but I want to make sure I try everything I can before committing to major surgery. Did you have drains or a pain pump after your Csections? I had the pain pump....it's kind of like a drain except it delivered liquid (sweet, sweet relief!) anesthetic to my belly instead of pulling out fluid. It wasn't a huge deal; I can't imagine that the drains will be much worse. So try not to stress over them!

Man... I typed a huge reply and wrangling my 2-year old managed to make it disappear

And it didn't put everything again. I didn't realize you couldn't type 'enter' in between subjects. How annoying. I wish I would have been able to have it earlier, but my husband gets really busy with work so it couldn't happen. My sister loved her pain pump, but I've never had one. I think the lipo of my flanks will help my waist line since my hips are wider now. Spending time on here has been helpful but made me worry when reading about bad experience. I've read some doctors recommend bromelain and arnica for bruising and swelling so I am going to ask my doctor about that. I'm heading to the beach with a bunch of my friends 8 weeks post op for a triple bachelorette party so I hope all or most of the swelling has subsided by then.

Any veterans out there have tips on what is absolutely a must have for my recovery? My husband is going to be taking care of me and our two children and I am trying to make things go as smoothly as possible for him. My surgeon didn't mention anything about arnica or bromelain but I have read many people on here who swear by it. Any tips would be incredibly helpful.
