Just pluggin' along! 5 weeks post op today and I have a question...
5 weeks? Really? Geez, time flies! I am (actually have been) back to my normal routines. I am healing nicely. No pain or tenderness. Just still that weird numb to touch feeling. My only thing that bothers me-other than having to wait for my boobs to round out and not be so squarish (and doctor swears they WILL round out!) is the discoloration on the underside. It resembles bruising but I know it's not that. Maybe part of the healing process for the blood supply? I'll post pics. And if I can find time will scour the boards to see if I can find anyone else's pictures at about the same timeframe to see if there is any discoloration. Any thoughts? I also will mention that I had some more CoolSculpting done: lower abdomen last Thursday and upper abdomen on Monday. And then had IPL to chest and both arms for sunspots on Tuesday. I'm working on things slowly but surely!! And as always---one day at a time! My husband and my oldest son will be coming home tomorrow for the weekend. Can't wait!! I haven't seen my son since Christmas--and then he was only home for a couple of days. It's going to be a great weekend!!!!!
Oops! Forgot to update!
I've been too busy dealing with ungodly amounts of snow and COLD!!! I had to cancel my appointment on Monday as we were predicted to get 15-20 inches of snow in addition to the close to 8 already on the ground. It doesn't bother me to drive in snow at all but after getting stuck on the interstate for almost 3 hours several years ago (Geez--and I had to pee sooooo bad!) I choose not to take that chance anymore! We did end up getting 15 inches! Changed appointment to yesterday (2/18). More snow--3-5 inches was predicted. Now that's not enough to stop me! So I went! Didi a little shopping too--hit Chico's up for a couple of spring looking tops to give me some hope that spring is around the corner!!!! Dr. was very pleased with the healing of all my surgical sites. He said I don't need to go back til April unless there is a problem. He says it's OK to get back into my exercise regimen, even the upper body workouts. Hmmmm. Kevin, our trainer works us pretty hard on the weight machines. I can't see doing that right now. Had planned on starting today with 5 pound weights and several reps but I swear when I woke up this morning and turned in bed I felt this little tugging feeling inside R breast in one tiny area along the bottom part on incision. My first thought was that it felt like a suture pulling. Yuck! I'm just going to take it easy til Monday. Not in any rush to mess anything up! My boobs still have a squarish look and look a little bottom heavy to me but Dr. is pleased with that and swears that's the way he wants them to look right now and within 2 or 3 months they will round out. OK. I like him and I believe in him so I'm not going to worry about it anymore. Life's too short! By they way--we got another 4 or so inches of snow yesterday. Now there is a frigid cold front. Temperature outside at 1 p.m. is -1 with wind chill of -20. Unusually cold for this time of year. I'm staying put right here in the house with the dogs. I hope nothing changes with hubby's plans (flying) to come home for the weekend. Will post pics afterwhile. Have a great day!
Out and about!!
Thank you ladies for your wonderful words of encouragement! When the skies are so gray for days on end it tends to drag me down a bit anyway--and then with the change in routine and being fairly sedentary--well that doesn't help either. I actually felt this morning like a was seeing a little positive change in looks since yesterday! Can't wait to go back to doc on Monday! We finally have some SUN in WV today so I'm out and about. Getting my hair done and loving it! Who cares that temps are still in the teens! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL!!??
