34 Yr Old, Tummy Tuck with Lipo, Possible Necrosis

WORTH IT$6,000

I have 6 days post op from TT, ab repair, and lipo. I went for my followup yesterday and dr. Took my drain out. I was draining very little. However, he immediately noticed skin at the incision that concerned him. Once he took the plastic off to remove the drain my skin came off with it. He said right now my skin is "stressed" and on the path to dying. He started me on silvadene. Advise to kdeo hunched over to take off tension and to Change from binder to spanx for compression so it gets more oxygen. I'm worried sick. I have never been a smoker nor have diabetes. Any suggestions on how I can help heal this quicker? I'm also starting high protien diet. Thank you!!

I had recent TT/ Lipo flanks. ISO hydrolysis protein from the Vitamin Shoppe is amazing related to healing. I use 4 scoops a day (2 morning and 2evening) I hope this helps. Your results look really good who was your PS?

I'm going to look that up
Thank you so much for the tip! Were you happy with your results? How long did you take to heal enough to resume normal everyday activities? Thank you so much, if I can get through all this, I think I'll be much happier, he is an awesome Dr. He's out of Columbia, Dr. Carlin.

I am at 4 weeks and starting to feel like myself(walking 4 miles a day most days). I love my results. The protein played a major role in my healing. At two weeks I could see the light. Everyday gets better. After a while its like giving birth the pain and discomfort fades in the memory.

Thank goodness!! I had mine a week ago today. I see my ps tomorrow for another followup. Can't wait! I've been trying to find some good compression garments online that I can wear over the hot summer under my clothes once I go back to work next Monday. Any suggestions?

4 miles only 2 weeks post op! Impressive!!

I am currently wearing Shymay fullbody waist shaper purchased on Amazon. Three hook position in front and open crotch. Excellent compression only $23.00.The sizes are off (Asian size)Before surgery I was a 8/10 therefore I bought the 3X. Today I will order a 2X.My goal is to let this shape me down to a small Asian size. Cover your open areas before putting compression garment. I used bandaid large gauze pads(red box) gentle on skin. Play careful attention to your lower abdominal incision area place a gauze between you and the gatment to prevent rubbing and opening of the incision. Within two day of using the compression garment my swelling decreased by 80%. I am loving my hourglass shape this garment has help mold my waist. It takes some work to get into ( but so worth it). I only removed to shower potty opening is huge. I bought 2. I will only buy 1 this time around and leave off for a while wash and shower.

This is today's photo of the incision and the skin around it of concern. I have cleaned it...the white is from the silvadene. Anyone weigh in on the damage im looking at? Did we catch it in time or is it likely ill have to have a scar revision down the road? I fully trust my surgeon, just looking for 2nd opinions on here since all i can do is lay here anyways.

Possible necrosis, help!!

shellbell5482
Went to dr yday for followup at 5 days post op. He took out drain but immediately saw a concern for the area in my mid section near incision that was red and blackish. When he removed the plastic to take out drain. My skin came off with it. He said it is "stressed " right now and worried about it dying. He put me on silvadene and said to come back in 3 day. He said if not better hell also put on diff oral antibiotics that are more aggressive. Said to stay hunched over to put less tension on the incision and to change from my binder to spanx and let it breath every few hours as well to promote blow flow. Any suggestions? Is it necrosis at this point and too late or no? Im worried sick. Did he pull me too tight??
