Saw PS today. There were a few teeny tiny sutures that didn't get removed by the NP last week so he took care of those. Says incisions are healing nicely, I agree. He still says that I may lose a little more volume but that most of the swelling has gone down. I'm hoping I don't. I'm liking where I'm at now. My nipples are more oval than round which concerns me. PS says it can easily be fix in the office but says I need to wait at least 3 months out in order for things to settle.
I didn't tell a soul I was doing this. No one seems to notice anything different! I wear scrubs to work so that's a big help:) And the sports bras I've been wearing have a little padding which is nice, I also feel like I can stand up straight!!!! My posture was not so great as I tried to "minimize" what I had with the implants as much as I could.
My husband has seen them and he's rather impressed. That makes me happy ????Thankful he's supportive.

You are looking great!! Yet another woman who looks so much better after explant than with implants. Wow only 2 1/2 weeks - amazing! You must heal fast. It's so soon, I bet as you heal your nipples will round out although they look fine in your photo. I think we all see imperfections that others don't. Isn't so funny how no one notices?! I felt like people were going to be whispering at work. I wore padding a few days then realized I looked fine without it. Just wearing t-shirt bras, not push up or anything. Two people asked if I lost weight, that was it.

Thank you. My downward incisions are a little bumpy but ps said they would eventually smooth out. All in all I'm pleased. I appreciate your encouragement

2 weeks post op!!There is an uncomfortable feeling when I am not wearing my sports bra. But I know that will improve with time.

Surgical tape and sutures were removed yesterday afternoon. I have a tiny little blister like thing on my right nipple. Really hoping that my incisions will heal nicely. I know I have to give it time. I am still pleased with the results. And I am amazed at how comfortable I am just two weeks postop. There is an uncomfortable feeling when I am not wearing my sports bra. But I know that will improve with time.

Oh wow - you're looking so slender and perky! The bubble may be a spitting stitch. Sometimes our bodies spit them out rather than dissolve them. Your PS should be able to remove it painlessly. Give yourself some time I didn't have a lift but I can tell you I was pretty uncomfortable for almost two months. You're progressing so nicely.

That's good to know. The nurse practitioner took sutures out. I'll see ps on Tuesday. Hope you're doing well.

Oh my you look wonderful!!! I took my tape off yesterday. I didn't have the lift. I'm stitched on the inside. Doc said they will dissolve. I feel so great and I bet you do too. Loving being without implants. My scars are a little bumpy but once I heal more I will massage them and hopefully they will go down. Glad to hear you are doing so well!! (((Hugs)))

Thank you Explantwish! Glad are are feeling great! Isn't it amazing to feel free of those bags?? Yes, I wish I didn't have the anchor incision but, oh well. Hugs right right at ya!

Wow you look amazing!! Only 2 weeks? What a difference - your PS did a fabulous job! Best wishes for fast healing!

I have a curious question and you don't have to answer if you find it too personal. As you know mine were removed without the lift. You and I are on the same healing time schedule ;). Anyways do you lose sensation in your nipples when they do a lift? As I said curious in case I ever decide on the lift.
March 14, 2017
I can honestly say that I have more feeling in them now than I did with implants in! I didn't really think about it until you poised this question. But WOW it's true!!! And I'm still healing:)

Thanks it just looks like when they do a lift they cut and remove the nipple to be able to move it. That's what made me wonder if you lose feeling. Appreciate you sharing this.

One week post-op
lookathereMarch 3, 2017
Well, it is one week postop and I am feeling great! Can't wait to get this tape off of my booby's. Thinking it might look a bit better once they're off and the incisions are cleaned up which will not take place until next Thursday. There is a little redness on the side of my right breast. That is where my surgeon attempted to drain some fluid but there ended up not being any to drain :-)
I am very comfortable with the size that I am at at this day and time. Hoping it will stay pretty much the same and there's not much swelling left to go down.

Oh! And ladies.... the Today Show had a deal on Coobie Bras. Set of 3 bras and a tank for $24!!!!!!
March 3, 2017
i'm your age and since you look great, I'd like to explant...looking forward to seeing ur progress..pls update
March 4, 2017
what exactly does that cost you listed include? Hospital surgical, overnight stay and Dr fees...if so incredibly reasonable! If not, what does it represent?
March 4, 2017
Everything but the hospital stay. I'll get a separate bill for that. I had to pay the surgeon, anesthesia and facility fee up front. I probably would have done fine having it performed at the surgeon office surgery suite but I didn't want to take any chances with my sleep, apnea. And I'm glad I did since my surgery was delayed and I didn't get out of recovery until 9pm!

Oh you look great!!! I had mine out on Feb. 27th no lift. I am understanding why you got the lift. Looks much better than mine. I just can't afford a lift. Mine will probably always be a little saggy mess but I'm loving being implant free!! I know you are too. I love the Coobie bras too!! Good luck on your freedom journey. Can't wait to see your updates!!

Congrats on crossing over to the other side with minimal discomfort. You look great already. You have that behind you and spring is in the air. I'll be joining you in a few days and can't wait.

When's your surgery date? I'm excited for you! Are your nerves acting up? Lol
I declare I went through so many emotions the week before. But the night before and day of surgery I was cool as ever! So much happier now.

"Friday", I had the pre-op yesterday and I'm all paid up. And despite Dr. Gordon's assurance that I'm in good hands, I'm extremely nervous and can't sleep. I'm really worried about the IV line. Needles scare me! If I can get through that part, I believe I will Be OK. I don't recall being this nervous getting implants but then I had the after effect to look forward to. This time around won't be much after effect, I will just be free. Putting these things in was the dumbest decision I ever made. Can't even remember what I was hoping for when I did it. Anyway this time next week, I will be showered, drain free, pain free and tittie free. Yeah!!!!

I'm so happy for you lookathere! I have a second consult on the 9th and then another one on the 20th. That will be my 3rd consult. Then on decide. I can't wait.
It must be the angle. I'm going to wait a little while longer before I go true bra shopping, if you know what I mean. And I'm certain I'll be an A cup if that!
I still sleep on propped up pillows. Can't wait until I can sleep on my side again.
Do you have the lift procedure scheduled yet? I'm pretty sure you'll be glad to do it. You look great. Wish I was in as good of shape as you.
Are you liking /adjusting to the new softer feel?
I took pain pills for the first two days post-op. After that I took prescription ibuprofen (800 mg) but only in the evening so I could try and rest well.
I was also surprised that I didn't have drains and such. Not sure what determines the need for that.
He told me to give it 3 months to really know where I would be as far as size. That it takes about that much time for everything to truly settle.
AND it's really crazy but I told him at my last visit that I actually have more feeling now than I ever did with the implants. His reply was "That's really interesting".
Also, it's nice to feel comfortable hugging people.
Start counting down the day girlfriend! You're gonna do great! I just know it.
