I have both dreamed and joked of doing this one day... After finally working off much of my excess weight, I'm left with my curves but a hanging pooch. :( Doesn't matter how thin and lean I get, that hanging hammock doesn't go away and I feel like it runs everything I've worked for. I had a consult a year ago just to see if this procedure would ever even be feasible for me. I'm doing a Tummy Tuck and Lipo on the posterior hips. It took me a year after that consult to decide to move forward. And once I did was completely overwhelmed with emotions. I cried a lot for a week or two. It was a combination of excitement, relief, fear, and anxiety. The office staff was amazing at answering my concerns, easing my fears, nd reassuring me. Now I'm excited to finally have a midsection I am comfortable with. I hate the pooch! It affects everything... how my pants fit, how well I'm able to perform certain exercises without it in the way, it's unattractive when I'm trying to be intimate with my husband, long shirts lay on it and then I feel like it's all people see, fitted dresses or skirts are a no-no. Ok you get the point. I want it gone. My husband has been amazing and totally supportive. My doctor is the best in our area and she did an amazing job on a friend's TT. At this point now I'm just impatiently waiting. I set the date for right after I finish the 90 day program I started in April to get the last few pounds off that I want to lose. My goal is to be the strongest I can be (physically and mentally) going into this. In the back of my mind I'm afraid of the anesthesia and the pain. But I know it'll be fine and I'll get past that and enjoy the new me for years to come!

Pre-Op/Surgical Clearance Complete!

Got my physical, EKG, and labwork done at my PCP. My Pre-op with the surgeon's office went well. Lots and lots of paperwork to read and sign. Took my official before photos in my sexy paper thong. Lol! They sent me home with my scripts for the pharmacy, instructions, compression wrapping, sanitizing soap for pre-op, and other goodies. All I have left to do is rent a recliner for a month and purchase my compression garments. And then I patiently wait! Can't believe it's almost here! 19 days to go!
