Post op 5 weeks
Slight sore healing nicely...and still swollen...but back to work.
Post op 18 days
Surgery was on Feb. 5 and I returned home to canada on February 12, with much thanks to American Airlines, and Air Canada staff who made sure my arrival was safe, without their assistance my return would have been impossible.
Post op 18 days and healing well. Most of my discomfort at this point is nerve numbness, stiffness and the compression garment. It feels soo tight . (I swear I am going to burn it when I don't need it anymore.) my mobility is definitely slow, which I'm not used to and I'm thinking to take more time off work. It is very physically and mentally demanding job. My recovery was helped I think a lot with my fluid intake. I drank tons of water, starting at the recovery house. About 2-3 litres a day. Be prepared for the swelling, however my doctor said my swelling was not as bad as others due to the fact I drank so much water, and I should keep it up, which I still am. Being mobile helped even if for a small walk, I did not lie around. I'm still swollen at this point but very confident I am healing quite well.
