Truly, the Best Case Scenario - Neck/facelift

I cannot believe how incredibly fortunate I was that my research led me to this surgeon. Which reviews speak to you, is the magic question. At the end of the day, it felt like a crapshoot, and frankly ended up selecting him based on his personality (big/ colorful) during our videocalls and the energy he was willing to expend to ensure all my questions were answered (the preselection criteria were the reviews though, which is why I feel like I have an obligation to share my experience). For context, I am a NYer who flew to Miami for a neck/facelift two months ago.
I am 52 years old and the lower part of my face and neck were sagging just enough to make me look stressed and a bit tired (always), an 'older gal' vibe so to speak. It wasn't tragic but the effect was unattractive. I had of course had had fillers (not too much) leading up to this, and also a couple of Sculptra sessions, which all the surgeons I was following on TikTok/ IG were adamant def complicated things.
Dr Kallman did not even bother to ask about whether I'd had Sculptra, which I found interesting and brought up post surgery during our last in person chat. He responded by waving his hand and saying any decent surgeon should be able to do their work regardless. I think this is representative of his overall approach and skillset.
The best way to describe my results is that it's like he took an iPad with a photo of my face on it and then nudged all the angles and skin with a stylus into just the right places so that it looks like I was hit with the pretty stick. It's what my face had the potential to be like, not just in terms of a fresher/ younger look, but more symmetrical. I had dinner w a friend a couple of nights ago who complimented me on my skin a few times--she did not know about my surgery but kept looking at my face, seemingly unable to detect what it was I'd done to upgrade my appearance, just that I'd had a glowup. For extra clarity, I have not had any skin treatments since well before the surgery :D I really could not be more pleased.
One thing I was really anxious about pre-surgery is what the scars in front of the ears would look like. Even directly after the surgery, with all the stitches in place, I was able to tell that the stitches had been carefully and thoughtfully placed to ensure minimal visibility. I barely wear cover-up over them and people really can't tell at all. I expect them to be fully gone in not too long. Again, I really don't even think about them at 2 months. Truly, what an exceptional surgeon.
I'm going to wrap this up by saying this is the doctor to select if you feel that you need someone to see the potential in you that is not currently reflected on your face, which in order to be successful cannot translate into a cookie cutter approach. His work is not formulaic--I felt like he was inspired by what he knew he could do with what he saw before him. He has enough confidence in his experience to take joy in what he does.
Also, the experience itself felt white glove. Lots of attention before the procedure, lots of aftercare.
