Week 3 Post-op
Thursday of this week will officially be three weeks post-op. Thankfully my incision is healing pretty good. The swelling has decreased some but I still have a little ways to go. The bottom incision is still a little stiff. I had a doctor appointment today and my doctor said everything is healing well. As you will see in the pictures, a few areas on the bottom incision are open. But my doctor said those areas will heal on their own.
Week 1
Hello everyone. I officially made it to week one post-op. I am feeling pretty good. As usual, waiting on the swelling to go down. I had a follow-up appointment today. My doctor said everything looks good. I was initially concerned about my nipple area since my breast were so long and huge. But my doc said they look fine. The white strips should come off next week or so. I can finally take showers now without worrying too much about the water and soap getting near my incision area. I could take them before but had to be super careful. I am itching a little. My doctor suggested Benadryl. I had some Allegra and took that since it is an antihistamine also and it has worked so far.
Surgery Day!
My surgery went well. It was supposed to take 4 hours to complete but was an additional 1.5 hour. I have my post-op appointment in the morning. Currently, I don't have much pain to deal with. My voice is still hoarse from the tube that was in my throat. I'm still moving a little slow while the medication works its way out of my body. I have some pictures here. I will post more in the coming days.
