How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Great experience in Colombia
geez, these people need to fix their site. As with others, it didn't save my review! Glad i played it safe and copied it first! Anyway...
Figure i'll start with what many are probably interested in -- I went to Cartagena, Colombia for my procedures and had an experiece that was beyond my expectations. But, first things first: Why Colombia?
I'd wanted a tummy tuck for ages, but honestly, I didn't want it badly enough to spend the 14-15k that i'd been quoted in the US. I had a friend that started talking about going to see Dr Cambell in Colombia and my initial response was "ARE YOU CRAZY??" Then, like most, i started doing research and identified that Dr Campbell is Board Certified in the US, did undergrad, med school and residency in the US, etc...Given the difference in pricing between the US and Colombia, i decided to reach out to Dr Campbell/Premium Care. From the start, they were knowledgeable, professional, organized, and frankly have thought of virtually everything. Most of my concerns were alleviated after my first phone consult with Dr Campbell (I was still a tad bit nervous about heading out of the country for surgery).
Once in Colombia, virtually every detail was orchestrated and managed, making it exceedingly easy. The Recovery Suites option (high end condos in Boca Grande) was more than i could have imagined doing in the States. There was 24 hour nursing care for the night following surgery, then wonderful staff in the condos that helped take care of everything from bathing, to eating (great food :), shopping, etc...There was someone in the condo from around 630am - 9pm, making you feel very taken care of. And btw, I really didn't think i would like having people around, but it helped tremendously. You have absolute privacy in your room, but someone is there as needed. I met wonderful people in the condo that were also in from America. I imagine that to do something like this in the states would easily run $500+/night, making it cost prohibitive for most.
Finally -- the procedure itself....I labeled this review under Tummy Tuck, but i had a tuck, breast implants, mini thigh lift and lipo for a total of $11k. Thrilled beyond belief with the Tummy Tuck and breasts, not as dramatic of a difference in the thighs, but still a great result. I didn't experience a lot of pain -- i just felt really sore as if i'd done 1000 burpees the day before. I did 315cc Naturelle (gummy bear) implants -- i did not want large breasts and am very happy with the size. I went from an A/B to a small C. Worst part of the entire surgical experience -- waking up from anesthesia and shaking convulsively. Folks -- talk to your MD about this so that you know what to expect. It can be very scary if you are not expecting it.
One final point -- i was one of the unlucky 2% that got an infection. It's unknown whether i had an antibiotic resistance or if it was just one of the things that happens. Drs Campbell and Restrepo and the team at Premiem Care mobilized immediately and i was seen at least 2x a day until things got better. I ended up staying in Cartagena for two extra weeks and i was fortunate that I can work remotely. Dr Campbell and team also arranged for me to visit a local surgeon upon my return to California to ensure everything healed nicely (which it did, albeit a little more slowly than usual).
All in all a great experience. I would highly recommend Drs Campbell and Restrepo in Colombia based on quality of care, the aftercare (soooo important), skill, and that frankly, they are good, fun and kind people (that goes for the entire staff) :)
Oh, and turning 50 ROCKS!

Provider Review
I have nothing but great things to say about Drs Campbell and Restrepo. They are highly skilled, qualified, kind, funny, and frankly have set up something amazing in Colombia. Their staff are like family and that is reflected in the care. I will definitely be back should i decided to have anything else done.
