$100
I got a Groupon deal for upper eyeliner for $100. I went in to this nice office, lady was young (maybe part of the groupon deal to get experience) but nice and I showed her some pictures of how I like my makeup and pictures of other people's procedures that I liked. The pain was minimal and she was very attending to my comfort. I have two other tattoos in black so I wasn't worried a kind of knew what to expect.
A week before, I did dye my eyelashes, as you see in the pictures. She did mention that the ink didn't seem to be taking to my skin but by the end of the session, she said that it took and we will see how it heals. When I Ieft the office, I felt good but as I got home and looked at it close, the line was really thin and barely there and was already scabbed up.
Right now, 8 days in, I feel like the most of the scabbing has come off. I've been very gentle, no soap and keeping it moist. I feel like it's going to be very light. I don't feel like it's going to be like the pictures I showed her. I made a follow up appointment and she said that it will show up better because we have a base layer of color. I hope so, because I did want it darker and thicker.
I might go through with this again, give her one more chance and get it done one more time... but if it's not darker and thicker... I'll just have to stick with my smearing, runny regular eyeliner. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I'm curious:  how did you dye your lashes?  Let us know how your eyeliner turns out.

i went to another aesthetician office where they offered it. It was 20 dollars, she used organic dye and and applied it to my lashes with a pad underneath the lashes to protect my skin. Waited five minutes and bam! Dark eyelashes. It's been over a month and I still have dark pigment... About to get it redone again but I have my second permanent eyeliner appointment Tuesday and I want to be able to not mistaken the eyelash pigment from the eyeliner pigment...

I always tell my clients expect two visits for a procedure. Don't want to overwork the skin and see what they come back with...then I know on the second visit how their skin reacts and perfect it then. To do it in one visit risks overworking the eye tissue...not good.

Right! Understood. Sometimes you don't know how the skin is going to react and hopefully she will be able to get my expected result this next time. If not, I'll just deal with regular eyeliner, no harm no foul, just out $200 which is far less than some of the people on here with worse results. I'm lucky!

I decided not to go through with the second appointment. Writing a second review now, more info there! Thank you!

Second Appointment

xthexcolorxpinkx
I showed up for the second appointment and she checked out how my lids had healed. I made sure I was extremely careful, no rubbing, washing, or touching. One month and two weeks later, she says that none of the ink took to my skin. I figured as much because... nothing was there, for reals.
I decided not to go through with the second appointment because of three reasons.
1. the inevitable follow up/touch up appointments which may be 3, 4, or 5 times before you achieve the look you want (just more $$$ I don't want to spend).
2. healing time (no makeup for at least a week)
3. unguaranteed results
She said she didn't want to overwork the tissue, which I totally understand! I just didn't think the ink was going to take the second time and she agreed. I expressed that I didn't want to put myself through a second application if I didn't want to go through with a third, fourth or fifth application in order to achieve the look I wanted. It wouldn't be worth it for me. She understood and that was that. I wanted to ask about different kinds of inks, or maybe another techniques? But at that point I had pretty much made up my mind to invest in a lot of waterproof eyeliner. :)
