Hi all! I have recently been to Thailand to get my hairline lowered. They were able to lower my forehead a little more than 2cm. It is now day 3 post op, still have bandages on, but I am excited about recovery. The last couple days have been very uncomfortable but it seems that I am on the mend. I will post pictures below, please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks!

Well you look great so far, can't wait to see you recovered! I've heard of the B. Care Medical Hospital in Bangkok. I'm curious to know how the service was that you got and if that was the full price including anesthesia, do you mind sharing a little about your experience because I'm considering going abroad as well.
November 1, 2016
The total cost was 3k usd including anesthesia, the other expenses would be airfare and hotel (very cheap). B care was great they were in constant contact with me the whole process and made me feel safe about the procedure. I would have liked to go a little lower with my hairline but the doctor had said it would not have been safe with my bone structure and scalp.

After surgery I spent the night in the hospital and a nurse took care of me hand and foot for 24 hours. On day 2 they sent me back to my hotel. Stitches come out on day 11 (8 more days) then I fly back to the states on day 12.

If you have any specific questions please let me know. Thanks!

Sounds great. What were the $$$ savings by going to Thailand to get the procedure done? Also, please post more photos to show the results. Looks good so far, but I would like to see how noticeable the scar is. Thanks! Madeline

Hey Madeline! I saved a lot of money by getting it done over here, probably 5k. Beauty is very important in Thailand and many plastic surgeons are very experienced (check credentials first obviously). I'm happy with my results so far but I am still only 6 days post op, the stitches pretty much look the same. I will post more photos on day 11 when the stitches finally come out (so excited lol).

Thank you for updating me Courtney. That's a huge savings.... certainly sounds like a good idea to go to Thailand to do this procedure. Looking forward to seeing more pics :)

Hi Courtney, was it painful and how long was the surgery? Any food/beverage restriction after surgery?Thank you.
November 17, 2016
It was painful and uncomfortable the first few days after surgery. It is not a quick fix and your head/scalp goes through a lot of trauma. I'm 2.5 weeks out and it is not painful but I still can't feel the top of my head (I think it takes month to regain feeling). Also hairloss is a COMMON side effect among women. I didn't think it would happen to me but it did. No food restrictions but they want you to eat healthy to aide in recovery. Let me know if you have any other questions :)

Omg!! I'm so glad I decided to red your article!! For the hairline lowering its 7-14 thousand in the US.. and would be about 3000 for a hair transplant procedure (because I need about 1500 hairs...btw if my one is reading this, and are thinking about just doing the hue transplant. Look up "Colorado hair graphs" they charge only $2 per graph) but the saving in Thailand for this procedure are great!!! Thank you!!

I definitely saved a lot of money by having it done over there. I probably spent 3k total. Let me know if you have any questions!

Day 6 post op

K1p24
Wanted to add another picture before my stitches are removed on the 8th (5 more days! Ugh lol). I'm in no pain at all, just a little squeamish when cleaning the stitches and staples (I look like Frankenstein). I'm liking it better and better each day, if you have any questions or if you've had this surgery and have any advice for me please don't hesitate!

Hope your recovery is going well, you look great. Could I please ask how high your hairline was before the surgery and what is it now after?
November 3, 2016
Before the highest point was 8cm, I haven't measured it with a ruler yet but the doctor said he took off about 2.2 cm.
November 4, 2016
Thank you, have you experienced any hair shock loss?
November 5, 2016
I honestly don't think so (knock on wood) the most hair I've lost was the initial comb through after showering (my hair is super long and gets tangles very easily). I am thinking of purchasing regaine as a precaution.

2.5 weeks post op

K1p24
Hi everyone,
It's been 2.5 weeks since my surgery. I've noticed some hairloss around the incision and my hair just feels and looks thinner. I recently started using rogaine as well as scar gel. I've also been taking vitamins everyday like biotin and vitamin E,C. I do feel like I'm on the mend and it's getting easier to deal with day by day. I've also been experiencing a lot of dandruff :/ I've never had it before so I know it's from the surgery. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also I welcome any advice from anyone that is going through recovery or who has recovered. Please ask any questions :)

Was your hair thick or rather fine on the beginning with?
November 18, 2016
It was fine to begin with.
November 27, 2016
Hey how is it going now?? Do you still feel your hair falling?
November 27, 2016
Hi! It's going great, I started using rogaine for women a couple of weeks ago and can already see hair growing in. :) How is your recovery going?
November 28, 2016
Yes my dandruff was shocking at the part that was lowered, but settled by week 4 x
November 29, 2016
Thanks! It's gotten so much better, I'm on week four now :)
November 29, 2016
Hi, can you update? I'm having this surgery in December. You look great, hope healing is well.
December 1, 2016
Hi! Thanks, I am currently about a month post op. I will post more pictures soon. As of right now I'm still covering my scar with bangs and headbands but after using rogaine and scar cream it looks a little better. As far as healing goes the top of my head is still numb and it feels itchy at times. It's gotten better everyday so far, I wish you the best in your surgery and will be here if you have any questions or concerns.

Are they surgeons are to "round" the hairline down and lower it... I have bald temples I'd like to cover, from the pics it look like the rounded yours, but was it a norm??
December 15, 2016
The surgeon did round my hairline. I don't have a lot of hair on the sides of my head but he tried to reduce this.
