well its been a while since my last dermapen with prp and i can say i have seen an improvement in the overall skin, looks smoother and tighter and appearance looks brighter although not sure how much its done for the actual scars, although its only my second treatment but yes my skin does seem tighter, smoother, and more plump. I have unfortuanely developed some pigmentation on the nasal labia area and some on my forehead where she went a bit more aggresive with the dermapen, which seems to be lightning up so will do my next treatment in the next week.
im guessing i will need to see a laser specialist after this for more improved results, unfortuanely I do not have access to INFINI RF at my location, else I would have gone with that instead.

Hi Delon, glad you see some sort of improvement. do you know what the length of the needles are? and how many weeks apart are your treatments spaced? I will be going for my first microneedling treatment on Monday, a bit nervous. I also live in SA, and haven't found a place where infini is done either, but have had a lot of fraxel done, which left my skin in a worse state, but everyone reacts to treatments differently I guess

I just had my last session yesterday and the needle length varies on diff parts of my face the deepest was 1,8 and my more severe scars and I think 1 on the rest but yeah the depth changes on my faces depending on scarring ! I also did PRP with my needling ! I have had fraxel restore b4 but I do wanna try co2 or erbium which I can get in Cape Town

I agree with another comment that said you should wait for collagen to grow, maybe a couple more treatments will work... it seems like it's helping good luck!!

My aunt had dermabrasion. It saved her soul. It,was the best thing that ever happened in her life.

Do you know the doctor she had it by?

how is your skin looking now? are you going to try the CO2 or erbium?
Also, did you happen to come across any place that does tca cross in South Africa? I would really like to try that but cant find any place that does it
I did the micro needling on Monday, wasn't with prp though, the swelling hasn't completely gone down yet, so cant judge progress

hi Robin, what kind of scars did your aunt have? was it depressed scars? ice-pick, boxcar or rolling? was it hyperpigmentation?

Yes they do tca cross but it's not 100% strength

Read up on how long it takes for collagen to rebuild because it does take awhile. Even with non ablative laser it takes some time for best results. Many people get impatient not realizing that the body goes at it's own pace and this is taking place on a microscopic level (collagen rebuilding) in the dermis. A good anatomy book can explain it better than I can....LOL! Treatments done too soon can actually damage the collagen & stop the scars from filling in.

they do tca peels where i go they have different strenghts, but they did do tca cross on my skin per my request although it was not 100% tca it was 50% i dont think there is a place where you can get 100% tca cross here. Its very annoying that we are so limited.Yes i will be getting either erbium or co2 based on my consultation with the dr but I will only do that end of september as Im leaving my skin to really heal and the collagen to blossom haha. and also wanna do a tca peel. I will post pics of my skin in about 3 weeks to show it after my 3 treatments of dermapen
