Hi I'm new to this site but have found it so useful. I'm due to have my surgery in 3 days time (1st may 2014) I'm going from an A to DD, silicon implants behind the muscle. I'm 29 years old, 5'4 and 147lbs. Having lost a lot of weight over the last few years I've literally lost all my boobs. I can't wait for the day I can wear a top or dress without a bra with loads of padding. Being able to buy a sexy lace bra and being able to fill it . I'm not scared for my surgery just yet , although I'm dreading the post op pain! I'm also worried about how they'll look as my surgeon said there is limited space between my nipple and the bottom of my Breast so they might look like I have more boob at the top than at the bottom but he said that it should even out in time. Also I have one breast that sits slightly lower so when they're larger it will most likely be more visible . All these are small concerns but they don't concern me enough to not go ahead with the surgery I can't wait!! :-)

I'm laying in bed at the hospital, the nurse has just taken off the tight corset bandage but still have cotton wool and the breast strap covering my assets, not seen them yet. My surgeon came to see me this morning and said I will need to wear a strap to push then down as they are sitting quite high at the moment in quite a bit of pain, it reminds me of when I cracked a couple of ribs a few years back. Slightest movement or breathing deeply feels like something will tear. I mentioned this to the surgeon and he said it's normal to feel like that as he split the muscle on my sternum - ouch! He said i shouldn't worry about how they look for the first week or so and that I need to give them time to settle and drop. I'm a bit scared what they look like now!!
The hospital staff are great cant do enough for me they're great. I feel really drained and tired, sleeping on my back is hard as I'm a front sleeper! Wish I could take my hospital bed home with me as it's so comfy and I can control sitting up or laying down at a press of a button. It's 09:00 in the UK and they're discharging me so I can go home at 11:00 - I have my V shaped pillow ready for the car journey home, I read on here somewhere that pillows for the car are a lifesaver.

In so much pain today feel like crying! I can't even bare to look at my new girls they're so sore. My back aches from sleeping elevated and I kept waking up in pain. Every time I move it feels like I'm ripping the scar tissue or the implants. I'm taking paracetamol which are doing nothing. Feeling sorry for myself, just preying the pain will ease very soon.
