8 months post op

I thought it was about time I did an update.
It is surprising how, for a girl who use to obsess about her boobs and how much I hated them. I now don't think about them at all. I had almost the perfect recovery. There was a slight hiccup where I developed a "dog ear" I think is what Dr Vlad called it. It was a small fatty pocket under my left breast. Nothing at all major and I didn't even take a photo because it wasn't bad at all. I would have been happy to leave it but Dr Vlad being the amazing perfectionist he is booked me in to remove it. This was minor. Don't under local and I was in and out in half and hour. I had no pain from this little procedure.

I am so happy with result after 8 months. I assume that they are settled now and the size wont change too much. I am a 10-12 D as Dr Vlad said I would be. YAY.
My quality of life has improved so much since making the decision to have my reduction. I run most days. Anyone with big boobs can appreciate this prior to the reduction running is not fun and required many many sports bras. lol I would recommend a reductio it to anyone who feels like they need one and I would especially recommend Dr Vlad. Thinking back the pain post op was more absolutely managable, the recovery was great, the scars are not as scary as you think they will be ( see attached pics). And even with a slight hiccup I am one VERY VERY happy girl.

Bikini Season

I have always dreaded wearing Bikinis. Halter necks hurt my neck, I always felt ridiculous and all in all I just hated the thought of wearing a bikini.... until now :-)

I went bikini shopping on the weekend and loved it. They all looked great. I got a a simple size 10 Bikini. No extra support, no miss matched tops and bottoms. Just a simple Bikini set. Yayyy

5 weeks post op

5weeks after my surgery I am almost back to normal. I can even sleep on my side for the most part. My left boob has been the sorest of the 2 from day 1 and it still causes me a little pain. IT feels so good to be able to drive with out bracing myself for bumps and to be able to wear cotton bras instead of the compression bra is unreal!!! Who would have though soft cotton bras would be so comfortable. My incisions are looking really good and the swelling has gone down.

Its really easy to forget the pain and everything once you start to feel good. But in all honesty I was very lucky and only had a few moments when the pain was enough to almost bring me to tears. But even then the pain killers took the edge right off.
I was completely off the pain killers after a week and then just taking panadol.
If I have any tips for girls like me out there. After your surgery do NOT over do it. I am a terrible patient and would attempt to do way more than I should. I bent over one night to pick up my cat (I know, dumb decision) and this action alone felt like it set me back days. luckily I didn't split my incisions but it definitely hurt. So just relax and don't push yourself.
