I just turned the BIG 3-0, and after 20 years i finally got the nose job ive been dreaming of. Now my cast is still on, so the final results are still a mistery, however, i can at least tell u my experience thus far...

Before the surgery was just an anxious waiting game for the pre approval to come back from my ins co. After the approval (which took about 1 1/2 months, my surgery was scheduled in 4 days!!!

The day of the surgery was exciting for me...i woke up, with no pain, went home with no pain, and still (2 days post op) still no pain...i have some significant bruising underneath my eyes, but nothing to bad. The first night was a bit uncomfortable as i could only breathe out of one nostril. Luckily my surgeon did not pack my nose with anything other than splints. The next morning they came out. So far that has been the most u comfortable part of the whole procedure yet, except it was soooo relieving. He sucked all the blood and mucus, which seemed like it came from behind my eyeballs, lol and wow, that first breath in was something i cant remember ever experiencing!!! Now, im just healing, waiting for monday to roll along so i can get my cast off. I really think my nose is going to look amazing! Right now its itchy, and feels like its dripping, but its not dripping, just itchy and hard not to touch, lol. I had a very large broken bone sticking out of my nose, and to see that its gone is so awesome! I cant wait to see it. My bf kept telling me beforehand that i didnt need my nose fixed and that i was beautiful no matter what, he was pleasantly very pleased so far with what he has seen and is very excited for the unveiling on monday! I can now say that i wont have the biggest nose/ugliest nose out of my friends and, shoot, even people i see out and about! I will now have the cute small button nose, the nose i was supposed to have my whole life !!! Yay!

So its been 6 days since my surgery. I have been very blessed in the fact that so far i have not had any problems or concerns really. There has been little to no pain, some discomfort, but i am so so happy i did this. My new nose looks great, its still really swollen, but a work of art :)

Sooo here i am just waiting :(....and waiting... I wish i could take the tape off for good so i could floss my new nose lol. But i guess ill just have to wait. Im very happy with what my nose looks like now even tho its really swolen, but even swollen it looks 1000 times berrer than my last nose lol. The tip was refined, the broken bone (bumb) was removed and my deviated septum wasfixed, i can breath smell and taste better than ever before in life. My face is really puffy from the prednizone im on, so iwhen i look in the mirror i dont see anything that looks like me, at all!! I cant wait for tape to come off, i will update with a pic when its off! Yay
