My fat has always unfortunately gone to my love...

My fat has always unfortunately gone to my love handle area instead of my hips, making me look disprortionate. I lead a healthy lifestyle, am 5'6", 115 lbs, and they are still not gone. This is why I turned to a cosmetic procedure, but without the risks of surgery. I am pretty sure I will be satisfied with just one treatment, but I might go in for two.

I will post before/after pictures following any results. Too often I see people start off reviews and dissappear from realself.com! I would like to help others as others on here have helped me in my decision.

I'm sitting in the room with the machine still attached as I am writing this. Be advised that if you are a person who faints more easily than others, you might faint after a few minutes of the treatment! That is what happened to me, unfortunately :( I was only out for 10 seconds and it was just 5 minutes in, so the treatment could be restarted. For me, I faint when I am under high stress or anxiety. A nurse came in, gave me a couple ice packs and some juice and I was fine. The treatment did not hurt at all for me. I didn't even feel the cooling. It only hurt afterwards when defrosting, which lasts about 20 minutes.

I am going in for after pictures in about a month, and will then decide if I want further treatment. That is also when I will post my pictures here. I will update you about bruising, tingling, or any pain I experience up to then, and of course if I see any difference in the mirror/clothes fit!

I had the procedure today, and I will definitely keep you all updated! Now I'm just anxious for the results, and hoping to be one of the lucky few who see them after just 1 week or 2.

Thanks for the update and I'm glad everything went well for you (apart from the fainting!). I hope you're feeling okay at the moment!

Yes, definitely do keep us updated and I can't wait to see your before/afters!

Today, I woke up to find that the treated area was a little red, especially towards the back. However, I also noticed that where the redness and soreness was differed from one side to the other. I hope this doesn't affect my results. Both areas are slightly numb and sore to the touch. I don't think I'm experiencing any swelling on either side, so that's good news. I'll update if anything changes.

I've had my flanks done twice, once on the sides and the other towards the back. Both times one side bruised more than the other and stayed red longer, but results have been awesome! Wish I had taken pics rather than relying on the doctor, but I when I where a compression top, no big bulges!

How long until you saw results?

For my first time with the flanks, I started 'feeling' slimmer in a couple weeks. Visually it took about 2 months. My upper abs are noticeable, especially the 'pinch' test. And again I'd say a couple months. I'm curious to see what my back flanks will look like in a couple months. It's weird, but I also lost about 4 pounds and I did not change anything. Apparently this is NOT the norm.
