Thanks koh samui - it looks like your incisions went in front of your rather than behind the tragus, is that right? Most surgeons seem to go behind the tragus these days to try to hide the scar but it often distorts that area. Your ears look very natural. Did you have drains after the op, and did he use any staples rather than stitches? Your neck and chin look brilliant!

Hi heartsease, yes they went in front, he normally goes behind the tragus but because mine were too flat or protruded, I can't remember which now, he said he it was best to go in front. I did have drains, they were taken out the following morning. I had stitches.

Thanks KS, you're being really helpful. That's interesting that he adapted his technique to suit your ears - sounds like he planned it thoughtfully. Glad to hear he didn't use staples either. I think you mentioned that you saw 2 other surgeons in the area first - would you mind saying who they were? You can private-message me if you prefer. The reason I ask is that I remember reading a review (can't remember who it was now) where the lady said she was from Peterborough and had seen another surgeon in that area who was very patronising and abrupt. As Richard Price is based in that area, I'm hoping it wasn't him she was referring to! Thanks again, H.

No, it would not have been Richard price. He is a caring mild mannered man, but also he says it how it is. I saw Sam Norton at Norwich spire, I didn't use him because he didn't have his own portfolio. I saw Trevor o' Neill at Norwich spire also, I liked him plus he had many photos to show me from his own portfolio, so I decided to with him. I booked the date for the surgery but at the last minute someone mentioned that all plastic surgeons should have (PLAS) behind their name to prove that they had done the correct training, when I checked this I saw that he didn't, so I swapped to Richard Price. It turned out that Trevor O'Neille didn't have the letters play after his name was because when he trained, many years ago, it wasn't obligatory to take that exam. He is fully qualified and is on the plastic surgery board of examiners, so I'm sure he would have been a good choice too.

Hi Koh Samui, such a fabulous result, no wonder you are pleased - brilliant! Your scars look v good - I saw this on one other surgeon's results (Dr Harley) and was not keen but scars always fade and your ear looks perfectly natural tragus not altered so I think now I actually prefer this technique. Can I ask - did you lose any hair around the scar? And did Richard Price work on midface for you as well as neck? Thanks for posting your results - great info x

Hi milliemils, thank you. I did not lose any hair around the scar. I did not have any mid face work done. When I first went for my consultation he gave me an improvement percentage of each part of my face, for me the greatest improvement was my face/neck being at 85% and decreasing further up, which is why I had just that procedure. Good luck and best wishes x

6 month update

A few people have asked me recently if I'm still happy with my face/neck lift 6 months on, so I thought I'd take another photo just as an update. I must say that I'm still really happy with the outcome.

Did you not ever think about Dominic bray ?? Just curious because a lot of people who live in London go to him ? I know he's a it pricey tho !

Thank you. When I was looking for a surgeon to do my face/neck lift I didn't know about Dominic Bray. I think it was within the two month lead up to surgery that I came across him on this web site, by then I had already booked in with Richard Price, but I've had no regrets.
