I'm just a few days away from my reduction and can't wait ! I super excited and super scared. Want to be a full C or small D Like many of you, having smaller breasts is something I have dreamt about for so long . Whilst I suffer with neck and back pain , it isn't the main reason I want this surgery . I want to wear clothes that flatter me, not hide me away. I want to wear a swimsuit that doesn't require scaffolding . I long to blow dry my hair in the summer without feeling sweat trickling from under my breasts. I want to avoid gravity taking hold to such an extreme that my boobs will be all people see. I look like a weeble that's doesn't fall down ;). I long for pretty bras that don't look like you can pop a 3 month baby inside of! Anyway ladies , any top tips I'm all ears .

Good luck! I had BR in the US last month and it was totally worth it! Wish I had done it sooner.

That's good to know. I'm glad it went well for you. How are you feeling now . Are you working or able to socialise at least a little ?

I had my reduction 6 days ago. .i feel ya. I am so pleased with my results. Have lots if ice at home and ready in ziplock bags. I found it to be the best pain reliever. Good luck.

I am 13 days post op now and feel as though I'm doing well too. I get the dressing off tomorrow and hope nothing nasty lurking. Right Nipple reacting, but the left a little slower to react .

I am the opposite my right nipple is slower. My skin is sluffing off so my breast are looking better. Everyday seems to be improvement stay patient with yourself. I have to remind myself all the time put the time in now it will save lots later.

Checking in to see how you are doing.

Thanks for your post. I am getting mine done a week today and your reasons are exactly the same reasons I'm doing it. I'm scared but so excited. Well done.

Hi BlueLou, I have a question for you if that's ok; did you have to have a catheter in during and after your surgery and if so for how long? Thanks hon

No I didn't. I recovered very well from the anaesthetic. Good luck with your op.
February 15, 2017
Hello! My age and measurements are close to yours and was wondering if insurance covered your reduction? I am a cheduked for a consult next week.

Afraid not! I'm in UK and don't have private insurance - i tried through our NHS but was turned down. I imagine tho, if you have insurance , you would easily qualify if you were my size .
February 28, 2017
Thank you for replying. Now waiting to see if insurance will approve. :(

I'm a 34gg with a consult scheduled in April. My doc's office was pretty confident it would be approved through insurance. I'm in VA and have Anthem. I'll keep you posted.

Sorry for late update , I was keen to rest up and let the anaesthetic leave my body just enough to make some sense . All went well and I am delighted! Haven't needed much pain relief at all. Left breast rather bruised , but still I can appreciate how I look . Dressings come off Friday . Surgeon feel I haven't much swelling at all so this should be more or less my size . 34 D/DD. Happy bunny ????

Do you know how many grams were removed?

Roughly 450 from each.

Great thx. Just had mine Friday, and she only took out 409g and 415g, so I'm curious to see others who didn't have a huge amount taken out. :)

How big were you to begin with - I feel great and rather little compared with before.
February 20, 2017
I was a 30i, which they say is sister size to 34G because of my small band size. Didn't look like a typical I cup.

Are you unhappy with the amount removed or feel they should have taken more?
February 20, 2017
Hoping for more, but I'm only 3 days post op. If I only go down a few sizes, I'll still be like a 30e or F which will be hard to find (like the 30i ones). My main reason small the pain, so I'm hoping I'll do get relief with this amount taken out.
February 20, 2017
Reason was the pain* I'll still get relief *

Happy healing. Im sure if pain was your main reason then you will have relief. My back aches a lot less and the only time I get neck ache now is when i'm on my phone or laptop. I dont wake with neck pain as I always did.
February 27, 2017
I hope you're continuing to heal well and are happy with your results so far

I think I'm going to end up either a 32D or a 32DD as well, and at first I thought that I'd be super disappointed with being a double anything, but my view on bra sizes is so skewed since I was a 32G. Now I realize that being a double D, especially with a small frame like 32, really isn't that big at all. I'm super happy!

I feel the same , after being a 34G I am happy to be 2 or 3 sizes smaller, and whats more, they are still full and sit where they used to whne I was 22. Happy days

Dressings off tomorrow and can't wait!

User Avatar

I will be pleased to get the dressings off as they're beginning to itch a little where the glue is . Today my right nipple went hard as a reaction to the cold and the left less so. The left breast is significantly more bruised , more was removed and apparently this accounted for the bruising - I imagine there was a bleed to warrant immediate bruising . However no problems that I know of resulting from that. My PS has been really pleased with my progress . I love my new boobs ! I feel like a new woman

Congratulations you're through the worst of it. My best advice for the next couple to weeks is to say No more often; put your feet up and rest especially in the afternoons and don't go reaching up to the top shelves. And of course, don't lift and drink lots of water it helps with healing .

Hi Wendy53 thank you. I have posted Post banadgae photos. The left breast had 2 small spots that my PS wanted to put iodine patches on. They come off tomorrow and I can post another photo. I am very happy with my new size and apparently I dont have a great deal of swelling, if any. I really do feel like a new woman.
