15 days post op I'm 15 days post op and...

15 days post op I'm 15 days post op and feeling great. Everyday gets better. I had another dr. appointment 2 days ago in which my PS removed my belly button stitches. He said I'm healing very well. I went and bought a couple of tops yesterday and I went down from an xl to just a large. In pants I went from a tight 12 to looks like a 10. They almost button but I'm still quite swollen. We'll see what size I end up being. I had been having such a hard time getting sleep. I would sleep 2 hours then I'd stay awake for like 5 or 6. It was awful. So basically I would go to sleep at 10 wake up at 12 then I could not go back to sleep until about 6 in the morning. I think I solved that problem. Yesterday I bought Advil PM and it worked wonders. I'm happy to say that I slept the whole night without getting up once. I actually think I got about 10 to 11 hours of sleep. It feels great to finally get some sleep. So if any of you are having this problem Advil PM or Tylenol PM should help. I'll be posting another picture soon.

Day 10 Post op. As each day passes, I am feeling better and loving my new body. Although I think I out did myself a bit to much yesterday. I convinced my hubby that I was well enough to go to the movies and for dinner. In reality I did feel well but I burned myself out. I quickly got tired. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time. It was nice to get out again I just think I should have waited a little longer as my hubby had suggested. Lesson learned, I must take it easy regardless of how well I feel on the outside.

Day 9 post op I'm feeling so much better each...

Day 9 post op I'm feeling so much better each and everyday. I did begin to feel a little of the blues today which I've read is normal when you have this type of procedure. Never the less, I was able to shake it off by going back and looking at my before and after photos and reminding myself that I did this for me and I deserve it and that in a few weeks I'm going to love looking in the mirror and I'm going to be so happy. So for any of you out there going through this please try to stay positive because you deserve this. Another thing I noticed going on today aside from me really missing cuddling and sleeping with my hubby is that I've been extremely thirsty. I've been drinking so much water it's crazy. I say it's crazy because I'm not much of a water drinker. However I'm glad because I know water is good for you. Does anybody know if extreme thirst is part of the recovery. On a positive note, my swelling seems to have gone down some, my energy level has gone up and I've lost another pound in a half. I'll be posting a new picture soon.
