Dr Vladimir Grigoryants! Advices please!
UPDATED FROM Jennifergon
Updating
Well I finally got my pre-op yesterday and tomorrow at 5am I have to be at the surgery center. The consultation went smooth, Dr Grigoryants review with me what I want to do to my nose (basically everything that can be done to a nose) so he is going to deproject the tip, shave the bump creating a nice slope with a Supra tip break, refine the tip and narrow the nosetrils. Besides I just learned that I have a deviated septum that he’s going to fix has well! I’ll try to update tomorrow if I’m feeling good enough!

Hello everyone! I’m a 36 years old mom of one, and I’ve been self conscious of my ugly nose since I was a child. Finally I’ve decided to do something about it! I’ve been researching a lot and I really like Dr Vladimir Grigoryants CA work, since a don’t want a “natural” result :) I want a Barbie or Angelina Jolie’s nose ????
The only thing that worries me is that a have found a couple of really bad reviews of him, and I want a beautiful nose BUT i need it to be functional too. I can Totally live forever with my nose right now (after all I’ve done it for 36 years :) but I couldn’t live life with an empty nose syndrome or a butched nose or anything like that. So I finally decided to ask for Help!! From you guys. Please leave me ANY comments about this doctor please please.

Grigoryants is very popular on this site. I don’t have personal experience with him but, like I’m sure you have, I’ve read a ton of reviews. If you are located in CA, I would say go for it but make sure you get all your questions answered and he doesn’t rush you -that’s the number one complaint I’ve seen, that the consultations are sometimes very fast.
Make sure the changes he suggests are what YOU want and not just what he says. There are plenty of good surgeons out there. He’s one of them. I would encourage you to get more than one opinion on your nose, including his, and see if he is the one you like the best. No surgeon is perfect and you are going to find at least a couple negative reviews for any surgeon you meet.
You say that you could live with your nose the way it is. Though most rhinoplasties are successful, really think about whether it’s worth the risk. I couldn’t live with my nose before surgery - it really bothered me - and I think rhinoplasty can be particularly difficult emotionally for people who feel okay about their before nose. Sometimes they are shocked by how different they look and feel that they’ve lost their identity. Also, as I’m sure you’re aware, rhinoplasty has a very long healing timeline so you might hate your new nose for a couple months before it starts to look more normal. That early swelling period is very difficult for a lot of people. Definitely do it if it’s what you want - I’m really happy I did it - but just make sure you are totally committed to riding out the healing process and feel completely comfortable with your surgeon.

Appreciate so much your comment, agree with you in everything. I understand all the healing and changes involved in the process and I’m not worried at all with that, I adapt easily to changes. The only thing that worries me is that a couple of reviews said that this Dr somehow makes bad reviews “disappear” . I really like his work, I’ve done a lot of research and his work is the one that like the most. Let’s see what I decide finally to do, any way will keep updated you guys, since I’ve learn so much here I feel kind of in debt. Thank you
I actually just booked and paid my initial booking fee for July 2018. I read some bad reviews too but overwhelmingly there are a lot of good ones and A LOT of people who don't even review. Usually if they are unsatisfied they will post for advice or for support so I totally understand that, but a lot of people who are happy with the result usually don't go through the effort of creating an account and posting frequent updates. Just my thoughts on that. But I am nervous as hell but confident in his skills :)
Hi there! You “just booked”? For a consultation or the actual surgery?
I wish you best of lucks

Girl Good Luck! I just send him a consultation email, waiting on an answer :)
I know every one is different but could you share the price for you? That could help like an “average cost”.
Thank you for taking the time in answering!

Hi there! I posted the question but somehow don’t appear. Well any way I was asking you if you booked surgery for next July for your convenience or is that he’s booked all the previous months?? And also if you could share the initial booking fee $
Thank you so much for taking time to answer ;)

I’m booked for August! I’ll be following your updates! So exciting nerve wracking!!
I think something that helped me make my decision was taking my time and seeing my doctor’s noses over time (I waited about 3 years from initial consult to actual surgery because I wasn’t just ready to do it initially). The doctor I chose had patients with many different noses and I could clearly see his style in their afters, so I felt confident he would take the same approach with my nose and my result would be similar. Grigoryants definitely also has a very distinct style, so you can feel assured knowing if you go to him, he will likely use that approach on your nose. If you like his afters, and they look consistent, I’d choose him :)
I'm sure every doctor has some bad reviews. I believe Dr. G is the best there's out there, though. I like his style and he has years of experience. I would feel safe and confident going to him. One thing I really like about him is that he does closed surgery compared to open, this way there is no scar. Best of luck to you.
Hi! I understand you completely however you take a chance with every surgery. I have my surgery scheduled for September with Dr. G. I’m scared and excited at the same time I don’t have an ugly nose but I think a smaller nose would look better. I wanted this on and off since I was a teenager and I’m in my 40s now. It is now or never for me, it is Dr.G or no one for me. I’m sure you will make the right decision for you. Good luck.
