I have been meaning to write this review for a while, since i remember when i was researching dr plazas online there wasnt much information. I only went ahead with the surgery and him because my friend (who is much more brave than I) took the chance and went through with it and her results were incredible.
So on September 21st 2016 I took the plunge and had my surgery done. I flew from California. And every penny was worth it. Dr Plazas is a professional and extremely talented man. I mean, you can tell just by how packed his office gets.
I am a petite person and I told Dr. Plazas that I did not want anything too exaggerated as I did not want anyone questioning me about my shape. He did exactly that.
The recovery is NO JOKE. I am 3 months post op right now and still feeling the burn of the aggressive lipo when I sit down and get up. So, just know what you are getting yourself into, bc I definitely did not expect this much pain. Also, the massages are horrible. I cried a couple of times and I have a very high pain tolerance.
Another thing I was super worried about was the Anesthesia. Now, I am not a newbie to the plastic surgery world. I have had a breast aug and rhinoplasty in the past. But with both procedures I had general anesthesia. I know that in Colombia the Drs prefer to use epidural. I kept going back and forth on that issue and ended up just trusting that the drs know what they are doing and I did epidural and it was a great decision. I did not get bad nausea afterwards like I did when I had general. It does wear off faster than general but I felt that overall I recovered quicker.
For pain pills I brought some oxy with me. Which helped tremendously. The dr does prescribe pain meds too. But they didnt help as much as oxy. I did not get the pain pump.
I left exactly 8 days after my surgery. Yes, the flight is a pain.
The day after I landed back home, I was back at work.
Note: for the recovery house I stayed at Casa Arama and I would not go back. I love the staff, the ladies are wonderful and very caring. Though, my flight left at 4am on a Thursday and I was still charged for that Thursday.... I even contacted Ronald (the owner) about it and received no response back to rectify the situation. So I would not refer any one of my friends. All the guests who stayed there during my time also had something to complain about ... it is just not a great overall place to be.
So if you have been thinking about it and doing all your research, I would say go for it..Plazas is the one. I will probably be back for my breasts in the future.
If you private message me on here I will most likely not respond since I won't be checking this account. I have listed all the information that I remember I was concerned about.
My results are awesome but I won't post pics bc privacy :)
Take care and be safe xo

did sitting on the flight damage your results do you think? I am most likely going to stay for 10 days but I am worried about the flight.
Thanks for sharing on RealSelf.
