ORIGINAL POST

Hi guys. So I was planning on traveling to Cali,...

Hi guys. So I was planning on traveling to Cali, Colombia for a BBL with either Dr. Luis Eduardo Plazas or Dr. William Jimenez. I was dead set on Plazas but he doesn't have as many reviews as Jimenez. But I love the way Dr. Plazas shapes the waist which is my main goal/concern. My family has been telling me Colombia is very dangerous (which I know but would be staying at a recovery house Beauti Sleep) I don't speak Spanish and am worried about the overall safety but I love their results there. I don't care for a huge butt just the hourglass figure. I want a bubble butt but definitely not anything huge, obvious, or vixen model type. I really just want a small, small, small waist. My biggest concern is my safety in Colombia. I do not speak Spanish although supposedly they do at the recovery house. I would book Colombia tomorrow it's just the dangerous things I have been reading about it that are holding me back. Not sure if it would be better to just stay at a hotel that is worldly known (Marriott, Hilton, etc) as opposed to a recovery house to make it safer? Thoughts??

I suggest following the girls that own the recovery house on IG there are also girls that have surgery pages on IG that document their experiences. Everyone I've seen that stays there has a great stay and has been treated like a queen and was sad to leave the staff. If you stay there you will be cared for, in a hotel unless you hire a nurse you're on your own. I don't think you have to worry about safety as the recovery house. They basically have you covered from the airport when you arrive until you leave. I would worry more about navigating all of that alone.

i was told the same thing about going to dominican republic. but took the chance anyways lol and when you're in a recovery house you have people looking out for you. I'm going to colombia in march and staying at beauti sleep.. I've heard some things too, my boss has family there and has told me just be smart.. just as you would anywhere else in the US. theres danger everywhere.. just gotta be wise about the situations you put yourself in.

I keep coming across posts stating that Colombia is not safe to travel to, truth is, anywhere u go that you're not from can be unsafe. I have friends that've been traveling to Colombia for the past 2 years as I myself will be going for the 1st time this coming week. I'm Dominican & have family in DR & have traveled their plenty of times to areas where ppl will tell u to stay away from, Ofcourse being cautious & payin attention, I've always made it back to the states ALIVE. With that being said, let this journey be a happy & positive one. Do your research & you will be fine. Best thing to do is to stay at a recovery home as you'll have plenty of company there & many girls walking in your same shoes. Good Luck!

Hey! Traveling abroad to get surgery is a scary thought because you don't really know what to expect, or what the care will be like etc. I think it is important to do a lot of research on your doctor and RH and decide if you want to take a leap of faith. I am writing you because I am thinking of going to Colombia to see Dr. Plazas. I sent him an email on Friday and I am patiently waiting for a quote. This will be my second time undergoing plastic surgery out of the country but, my first time going to Colombia, if I decide to go with Dr. Plazas. I admit that I am a little nervous myself. I am not sure how it is in Colombia but I know in DR they do have bilingual staff and those who can not speak english do a great job of trying to assist you by using the "translate" app on their phone or yours. Most Doctors, nurses, and RH staff are bilingual. Especially in places where they receive a lot of international patients. Personally I think it is better to go to an RH than a hotel. In the recovery house you basically have 24-7 care and the nurses really cater to your needs and make sure your ok (at least in my experience). In a hotel you will not have that luxury unless you pay for a nurse to check up on you at the hotel? But then... if you going to pay for a nurse, you might as well just go stay in a RH. lol. If I do go to Colombia, I wouldn't mind having a RH buddy down there...so if it is something your really considering, give me a shout. I was originally booked in the DR for March 24 but I really love the results from Colombia so if all works out I may push my surgery back to mid April. Good Luck!

I am planning to go to Colombia as well, I live in Orlando and is not safer here I guess... I have many friends that already traveled to Cali, they said Cali is different if you never been outside of USA to a South America, it is as risky as walking any where in the world at night in a very lonely place, fruits are great and people is warm they said the only risk to go to Cali is that you may not want to stay there and not come back to USA.
