Post Op 2 weeks
I'm late (again) but at 2 weeks I feel back to normal. I still feel a bit of tightness first thing in the morning but it's getting better and better everyday. They are also getting softer and dropping more everyday. I started my scar treatment this week! I use a silicon strip for 12 hours a day and the other 12 hours I use a silicon gel scar treatment. The silicon strips are not annoying at all. They are super sticky and I haven't had a problem with them slipping off. My incision is also really thin and small! I'm pretty impressed.
I find my cleavage still a bit far apart...but I'll give it time to settle and fluff again. My nipples are still sensitive! Although I don't need to wear a bra, I've been wearing nipple covers because the sensitivity. I'll post some pictures of the second week!

Well I guess better late than never. I'm currently...
Well I guess better late than never. I'm currently on post op day 5 and I'm feeling great! I'll try to summarize the best I can of each day since my surgery. I told my PS that I wanted something proportionate to my frame as I'm pretty petite. My specs are as follows:
Age: 26
Height: 5'
Weight: 98lbs
Size (before): 30A
Implant Size: 295cc HP
Incision: Inframammary
Placement: under muscle
The day of surgery I arrived an hour early around 815am. The nurse put me into an examination room with a hospital gown and a heated robe which was fantastic. It made me feel a lot more comfortable. She went over the medication and after surgery care with my boyfriend and I. Shortly after the anesthesiologist came in to go over a few things. I waited about another 10 minutes and my PS came in to do some markings then I was off to the OR. I thought I would get nervous right before the surgery but surprisingly, I was super calm. The staff treated me so well and the heated robe made me feel really calm. I laid down on the operating table, I got my IV and boom, the next thing I remember was waking up in the recovery room. I wasn't in any pain, just felt a lot of tightness. Everything felt numb because the PS used freezing/numbing during surgery. He said it would subside within 10-12 hours.
By 1pm I was home and resting. I was surprisingly coherent and in zero pain. Zero!!! I was pretty surprised as I was expecting to be in a bit pain and also sleepy from the anesthesia. I got too excited and tempted so I took a peak and as expected, they were swollen, high up, and cone like. My nipples are also swollen and pretty sensitive which is surprised me as I went with the inframammary fold incision.
Post Op Day 1
At 430am I woke up in a bit of discomfort. Not pain but soreness. As though I just did an intense chest workout. I realized that the freezing/numbing had worn off so I took a painkiller and then went back to bed.
I made sure to eat a lot of fruit and yogurt before every pill so I wouldn't be nauseous. Another side effect is constipation so I made sure to keep myself hydrated. The only medication I was required to take were the antibiotics which I took 4 times a day for 5 days. Optional: anti inflammatory, pain killers, stool softener, gravel, and sleeping pills. I took 2 pain killers. One when I woke up and another one right before bed. Sleeping upright is really uncomfortable. I slept on the couch as it was more comfortable. Make sure you have a lot of pillows! I had about 4-5 pillows to keep me comfortable. Another thing that really helped is an ice pack! I picked up an extra large gel ice pack and it feels really nice and comforting. It also helped the swelling go down. I mainly focused the ice pack on the sides of my breast as that's wear I feel the most sore and tightness. It's a bit weird feeling the implants against my armpits and side of my arms. I took another look at them today and I feel like the cleavage is a bit far apart? But I believe in the healing process and I'm just going to wait it out. I can't wait for them to drop and fluff out! I wish I could fast forward to the next 3 months haha.
Post Op Day 2
Woke up around 5am feeling tightness and a bit of soreness again. I took a muscle relaxer and went back to bed until 10am. The soreness is feeling a lot better. I was able to shower and put my hair up. The movement of putting my arms above my head is still a bit strange. I feel a bit of a pull so I'm just trying to take it slow. I've been wearing button up shirts and zip ups so I don't have to pull anything over my head. Although I feel pretty good, Im trying my best to relax and not push myself too much. I'm not use to laying around doing nothing! I feel like I'm going to lose it soon already haha. I only took 2 Tylenols today again. Once in the morning and another one right before bed. I didn't feel the need to pain killers during the day as I iced my chest throughout the day. The swelling has gone down my just a bit and my incisions look pretty bruised. The right more than the left but no pain on or around my incisions.
Post Op Day 3
I didn't wake up feeling sore but I still felt a little tightness. I only took 1 Tylenol today and I honestly feel great! Again, I did use an ice pack throughout the day. The swelling subsiding more and more everyday which is great.
I would say the worst part of this whole experience is the sleeping upright. Oh man is it uncomfortable. I can't wait to sleep on my back and sides again.
One thing I did notice today is shortness in breath. I walked around and also went to my boyfriends football game and I found that I would run out of breath pretty easily. Also the movement of walking and feeling my implants in my chest muscle was a bit strange. Something I'm not use to yet. I don't feel chest heavy at all either. Maybe it's because I didn't go to big?
Post Op Day 4
I woke up with a little soreness on the left side of my breast as I fell asleep on it. Be sure to have enough pillows again! I used a ice pack for the soreness and it went away within 10 minutes. I also feel the bruising more on my incisions today as well but it didn't bother me at all. My neck and back are more sore from my sleeping position than my chest haha! I didn't end up taking any pain meds today. I'm honestly feeling pretty great and because I am, I sometimes forget that I just got surgery. I found myself grabbing and lifting a few things that are too heavy for me right now and I feel just the slightest pull. It's my body telling me that I'm doing too much and I need to take it easy. Always have to remind myself that because I'm literally in zero pain.
Post Op Day 5
Woke up today feeling really good. Still a bit of tightness but it went away within 10 minutes. I went to my first follow up appointment and my PS said everything is looking great. He also mentioned that I no longer have to sleep upright thank goodness! I have another check up at 6 weeks. My PS also advised me to use silicon scar reducing strips/gel 2 weeks after my surgery date for scar treatment.
The strips are reusable and last up to 3 months. I'm really excited to start the scar treatment and hoping they work as I scar easy.
My breast have gotten softer and drop more and more everyday. I believe the swelling is gone and my incisions are healing really nice.
I did a little shopping after the appointment for sport bras. I know Im not fully healed and my breast have not dropped and fluffed out yet but VS measured me today. I got measured as a 32C and that makes me super happy! I hope they don't shrink because this is the exact size I wanted! It looks really proportionate to my petite body frame.
I also drove around a lot today and it wasn't too difficult. I just had to take a little more time on my turns. I also ran across the street and that felt really strange. It slipped my mind that you're not suppose to run after surgery for a little bit of time. Again, I have to remind myself that I just got surgery. It's just so insane how great I'm feeling. I thought I would be in pain but it's been painless the entire time. I know everybody has a different pain tolerance but if you're active, healthy, I think you'll be fine! I'll post a few before, after, and progress photos.
