I'm finally 1 month post. It took my bruises ages to go away — a little over 3 weeks. I think I am starting to notice the swelling going down little by little. Since I tape my nose each night, my nose appears smaller in the morning and then swells a bit throughout the day. At about 3.5 weeks post I couldn't handle the sleep deprivation anymore so I caved and started sleeping on my sides. I must say it's been glorious to get a good rest each nigh since then. I still have several dissolvable sutures inside my nose but my mucous has decreased and I can finally gently blow my nose. Smiling is easy now and has returned back to normal. I love the results so far and I can't wait to see how it looks in a few months once even more swelling subsides!

I'm not even 2 weeks post-op so I will comment on all the interactions leading up until this point. Dr. Zakhary and her whole office have made me feel very comfortable. Sabrina, Naleen, and Dr. Zakhary are all very pleasant. Sabrina and Dr.Zakhary were both very thorough with all the information they provided me with before the surgery. Dr. Zakhary spent time showing me endless noses she has done that were similar to what I was getting done until I had basically seen as many as I wanted to see. The procedure was described in great detail to me, including fixing any problems that may arise. Basically, if you do a read up on what questions to ask a plastic surgeon about a particular surgery, she answered literally all them before I even had to ask. She goes into great detail about statistics on the procedure including how many need revisions, how many experience perforations, etc. I felt well prepared for it all going in and she sets realistic expectations. Other than that, her communication has been amazing. I have had so many questions and concerns since prior to the surgery and up until now. Dr. Zakhary responds to my emails within minutes or even calls me back immediately. The same goes for her office staff. This is the best follow up care I have ever received from a physician. She spoke with me both before and after the surgery to explain what would happen/did happen. My first follow up was good. I am happy with my nose for the most part other than some nostril asymmetry, which was already slightly present before. It is too early for me to discuss results, as I am still wearing tape so I will expand on this in the future. I was able to get a consultation date and surgery date all fairly quickly and they were very accommodating with me being out of town.
