Hey your fading is looking amazing! I'm just about to start my journey next week. I'm kind of scared but mostly excited. Any tips on healing and how to take care of yourself afterwards?
Awe, don’t be scared! It’s amazing once you get your journey started. I recommended lots of vitamin e cream to heal it. Good luck!
Thanks! What kind of numbing cream did you get from Shoppers?
I can’t remember the exact brand. I wouldn’t recommend it though. It didn’t take away any of the pain what so ever. I stopped using it after my 2nd session and couldn’t tell the difference. I would save your money!
No numbing cream. Embrace the pain!!
Do you think you’re halfway through?? I’m going for my 10th session tomorrow and still only feel halfway on the inner part of my arm.
I would say yes, I feel about halfway at 5 sessions in. I have 1 more session remaining on my pay plan before I have to renew. I can’t really afford another 5-6 sessions at $4000. It’s cheaper and faster for me to just get a tattoo that I actually enjoy over top of this one at this point. I’m sorry to hear you only feel halfway through at 10 sessions! That seems like such a long process. I am using the picosure laser. What laser are you using?
I started with the Pico but stopped after 4 sessions. The aftermath/blisters etc was too hard to handle and I’ve read a lot about it not being so good for black inc. And pico is very expensive. I’m use a Medlite laser.
You're having some great fading. I just had my first PicoWay (number 11 total; 7 PicoSure and 3 Q-Switch). I had really bad swelling and blisters with the others, but none with the PicoWay. I'm hoping I only have 5 more to go.
Thank you! It’s weird because I only had swelling and bleeding the first 2 picosure procedures. My skin has been tender after each season, but nothing intense like the first 2. I guess everyone’s ink is different. Good luck on your more sessions!
That’s awesome. I think it gets easier with less ink present. Thanks and upwards and onwards!
Any updates??
No updates as of recently. I have 1 more appointment left - but it’s a 7 hour drive to the office I get it done at. So I’ve been putting the drive off. Will update with my last procedures results ASAP! :)
Wow, 7 hours?! Now that’s dedication! So are you planning on a cover up? I debate a cover up at times. I’ve come a long way, but this ink is so stubborn and I’m sick of wearing a faded, crap tattoo on my arm. 12 treatments in and I have at least four more to go.
Honesty at this point I’m planning to do a cover up. I can’t stand the pain of the laser during my appointments. I shake in pain every single time. It hurts so bad! Plus when you add the cost of the appts at $400+ a session, it’s just not worth it to go through more pain or money. I’d love to have no tattoo of course, we all would! But like you said I don’t want to sit with a faded, ugly tattoo on my shoulder anymore then I already have.
Yeah, I know how you feel. I started the PicoWay, which I was told wouldn’t hurt as bad as the other two lasers; [RS bleep]! Lol. . I already bought another package of six and have four to go. We’ll see how it goes. Just really unsure ow my skin will look after all this. As long as your happy, that’s all that matters :)
Hope you're doing well! Any updates? I had number 14..still going.

Hey. It’s getting there. Slow progress I know and nothing like what’s promised!! Good luck with the rest of your removal.

This is about four weeks since my 4th session. This session hurt the least out of all treatments. I’m seeing more fading, but still nowhere close to where I want to be. I have two sessions left on my treatment planned that I have payed for. After these next two sessions, I’m going to determine if I keep going with the laser treatment or if I simply get a tattoo cover-up. I’ll keep you updated!
