I was extremely self-conscious about my neck. It was saggy, wrinkly, and made me look much older than my age. I often found myself trying to hide my neck with my hands, and would NEVER allow myself to be seen in profile!
The surgery went well. That night, however, I had the worst headache of my life, and vomited several times as well. Dr Zakhary gave me something stronger for the headache pain at my appointment with her the following day (which was a Saturday, by the way! She opened her office up just to see me!). And then the swelling and black eyes began! The pain was almost non-existent, but I looked hideous! The swelling was down quite a bit by 1 week post-op, when I saw Dr. Zakhary again. Everyone at the office was very attentive towards me, oooing and ahhhing over my appearance!
It is now 4 months post-op, and I am super happy with my results. I have always looked young for my age (47), and now my neck matches that. I've had quite a few people comment that I look "well rested", or they ask if I've lost weight. It's great knowing that people see a difference (especially me!), but they're not sure what it is.

You look fabulous. I too, am 47 and my neck appeared to be 77, at least to me. Just did thermi w a small amount of lipo. A neck lift will be in my future, I just wasn't ready financially. Hoping this can slow it down. How much down time did you need? Time off from work?

I'm a teacher and had it done during the summer, so no time off from work! About a week downtime, I would say.

I'm interested in the neck lift myself. Where exactly are the cuts made? Is it under the neck and at the beginning of the ear, like side burn area?

Side burn area and a bit behind the ears. They aren't even noticeable now!!
