Well, I'm a 28 year old mom of 4! Ages 10, 5, 2, and 10months... I know, crazy right???! I wasn't going to write a review because i have tendonitis in both my arms and thumbs and typing alot tends to flare things up and cause alot of annoying pain BUT I loved my PS so much that I felt obligated to since there aren't alot of reviews on him yet. So here is my story...

I was 18 when i had my first kid, and ever since then i knew i was going to get a tummy tuck as soon as i was finished having babies. My first pregnancy completely destroyed my body... My stomach looked like a road map from all the stretch marks i got from gaining 50 pounds so fast at such a young age. My boobs, bum and inner thighs were covered in them too but nothing bothered me as much as the flabby ugly roll that hung over all my pants even after losing all the baby weight (from running and pilates) and then some! So finally, 10 years later, after popping out my fourth angel and having added even more flab added to the initial unsightly roll, I decided to take the plunge and get the ball rolling. I wouldn't be able to do it without having such an amazing partner and so I owe him alot of credit in terms of making the happen for me. He is amazing and very supportive and he is such a great father too!! Long story short, I decided to go with my PS because he was very down to earth and genuine, plus he had great reviews all around. I was initially booked to see a different PS that did my bffs tummy tuck after having twins and seeing such amazing results on her, but I changed my mind last minute because Dr. Dawes and his staff were amazing right from the get go and he was one of the few in my city that did the drainless technique which certainly was more appealing to me.

I had my tummy tuck with lipo and breast aug on July 3rd. It was a 5.5 hour procedure and now I am exactly 14 days postop. I'm feeling alright except the fact that I am experiencing some major swelling above my incision and all around the lipo'd areas which include my flanks etc. I have moderate swelling in my upper abdomen region too but that is to be expected i hear. He did a better job on the left side of my incision than the right =( The left side is a little lower and that makes me a bit sad because i was hoping for a nice even low incision. Hopefully i'm not being too picky and its only going to be noticeable to me once it heals and fades lol.

I'm not feeling the greatest right now because i look so bloated, swollen and lumpy from the tummy tuck and lipo combined. Infact, I even look bigger and wider =( I feel like a big puffy blob and i hate it! I used to have a fairly noticeable bum but now with being hunched over and swollen everywhere i look like one big lumpy mass lol. Sorry for the complaining but i guess i'm just looking for some reassurance from my fellow Real Self ladies that everything looks normal and how its supposed to be given the fact that im only two weeks post op... I'm really hoping the swelling from the lipo subsides soon, not to mention the swelling above my incision. When i poke right above my incision i see the fluid moving and its creepy! I'm going to call my ps tomorrow about the fluid because since i had no drains my body is supposed to reabsorb the fluid buildup and im not to sure that it's doing that properly at the moment.

I'm going to post some pictures of my progress from my phone...

I also had a drainless tummy tuck here in Toronto back in February. If you are noticing fluid (when you poke at it and you see waves) you should call your dr, they can drain it right there in the office. I at times still feel puffy however my stomach looks fantastic (I will be the first to say it).

Ohhh I def need to see your pictures!!! It's hard to find people that had the dreamless tummy tuck it's not as common yet... So needless to say I feel so alone in this at times LOL.

Drainless tummy tucks are the best :-) I just checked out your pictures. Your incision looks great and you will be amazed at how thin your incision will look. I should take a few pictures of mine now. I have been doing scar therapy for 4 months (using Mepiform, this stuff is amazing)

Mepiform...is it cream or a treatment. I wish I was having a drain less tummy tuck as when I had a BR the drains hurt more than the op x

its kinda like a bandage tape - it comes in a 4x6 sheet (I paid $47 for it at the clinic) but it is really good. You have to cut it in strips to cover your incision (just enough to cover). it takes me 2 strips to cover my incision and I usually get 8 strips from it. Each time I put it on it lasts roughly 2 weeks (you dont take it off to shower or anything like that). I will take a picture later of how it looks on my cut as well as the packaging (I had to buy more today). I loved not having drains, then again I dont have anything to compare it to but I am assuming having no drains has to be better.

Drainless has been very convenient this far but as crazy as it sounds, I kind of wish I had drains in at times so I wouldn't have to see the fluid moving around. When is your TT?

Did that price include Anastesia and facility fees or was that just the plastic surgeons work for mommy makeover ?

First week postop pictures

So I never really had any issues the first week other then really bad upper leg pain when I was trying to sit, stand, walk or even move my leg to position myself for sleep. My plastic surgeon said this was due to the nerves trying to reattach and therefore they were inflamed causing me extremes pain basically every time I tried to use my leg. It was very scary for me because I wasn't sure if my leg was going to buckle at any given time causing me to fall and injure myself further. He gave me a prescription for nerve inflammation and so far it's been working.

The only other thing I can complain about right now is the swelling due to my Liposuction love handles and surrounding areas... it's hard lumpy and looks terrible especially around my incision! And on top of that my incision seems to have a lot of swelling above it so I might have to go into my plastic surgeons office to see if he can drain it a bit since I had no drains.

Since having my surgery I seem to be wider And thicker and I've even gained a little weight. I'm hoping all of this subsides once the swelling goes down because I really wanted to have that contoured sculpted look!!!

I am having drainless TT on Aug. 1 so I know what you mean about feeling all alone! There is a doctor here in Dallas who has done drainless forever,- Dr. Todd Pollock- lots of reviews here on him. My doc is Greenberg (dralangreenberg@northtexascosmeticsurgery.com)- his website has info. on drainless, or you can just enter drainless TT in the search box in this website. I've been spending way too much time here, can you tell?? But, I think your scar looks good for this early. I know they can raise/lower it later, but I don't think you'll want to- I think it'll be pretty even when it's completely healed and swelling subsides. Part of the problem in some of the pics is that you were leaning over when you took the picture :-) But standing up straight, it looks fairly even! Good luck

thankyou!!! i appreciate the positive encouragement =) I noticed that too, that some pics i was more hunched over and bent than the others so it can look a little worse in those. You must be sooo excited, i know i was leading up to the big day. i cant wait to see your progress and recovery!!
