Had some juvaderm implanted in my lips. Just 1 syringe. During the procedure my doctor commented that I had a very symmetrical smile - which is great. . but I don't now. I just want slightly bigger lips and now I won't be able to smile for six months. The left side hands down over my teeth. I went back and injected the enzyme, but my smile still hasn't corrected itself. I want my money back.

should say hangs down, not hands down. Had the enzyme inserted two days before the photos above.

Thanks for sharing! The exact same thing happened to me. Not sure if some people are just prone to it or if it's the injector, or both. How long did you have your juvaderm in before you had it dissolved? Sometimes the initial swelling really exaggerates the asymmetry but it can subside after a while.

so, what happened finally? I think i am experiencing the same trouble :/ C

Did the enzyme finally dissolve it? If yes, how long did it take? I think it's juvaderm-happened to me also but only a little. Had Rest. Several times before & it never hap w/that.

I had the enzyme twice and it brought it down. It looks pretty normal now,

Where was this done so we can avoid ?

It was done at Laser Rejuventation clinic in Calgary. Dr. Campbell.

I had the enzyme twice and the assymetry has gone down. The lip doesn't look that full anymore though.

who was your doc?

I'm having the same issue, can you please let me know if this went away or if you were able to have this corrected? May I ask where you went?
February 6, 2015
It was sort of corrected and they looked pretty much normal. They never looked as good as I wanted them to. It's been a year now, so at this point it has gone back to normal. I went to Dr. Campbell, you?
February 6, 2015
Did you have to use a filler corrector or did they just return to normal on their own? I went to Thermae.
February 6, 2015
Hi Bella, I had the enzyme put in and it looked a lot better after that, but it still was a bit assymetrical (not noticeably anymore). Then over time the filler goes away, and they pretty much look like the original now.

After and several years later

libby2002
Used Enzyme and the lips were not as assymetrical. The filler added volume and it looked nice when lips were closed. A open lip smile had kind of a weird look but that might just be the case with lip filler. A year and a bit later the lips have mostly returned to normal , but I also got my braces off and my smile looks slightly different now.

The pic on the left is the one after enzyme and on the right is several years later.

Thank you for sharing! I had an appt yesterday after two yrs after juviderm to find out what my options are. They said it might be scar tissue but they don't know for sure, so the enzyme may or may not work. I feel a little more relieved hearing your story, hoping after I get the enzyme this might help.
February 6, 2015
Yea, mine actually hasn't ever completely returned to how it looked before either. But you can see from the pictures it no longer looks assymetrical. I think scar tissue forms a lot more than they say. I would be scared to get juvederm in other parts of my face.

OH MY GOSH!! THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! I had the most beautiful smile, and I got juvederm, and it was so asymmetrical and bumpy, and I never smiled the same:((( Its not just over a year and there is still product in my lips that Im desperately wanting to be removed

I agree, my silikon lips look good closed in pictures and whatnot but embarassing when smiling or talking...there is noticeable bump on the upper left lip for me-talking seems to make it really apparent...: ( I just wish my dr injected it evenly and not as much...lips are too big and its permanent :(

Well, I had one round of Silicon, but it didn't make my lips look any different. After the initial swelling it went down and nobody noticed any difference. :( I guess my body just dissolved it just like it did the Juvaderm 2x after a month. Yes my Juvaderm injections lasted only for a month. I have no solution to get a fuller mouth now it seems. I am disappointed. :(

I just sent you a PM....I don't think it dissolved, I hink your Dr did a good job by just putting it in little by little, you will be better off in the long run. Just remember the silikon is inserted in stages, the next time you have it done you will see more and then decide if more is nessessary but to have positive great results for long term please don't urge them to over inject that's how I have my lump :(

The upper right part of my top lip also hangs down just like your previous photo... It has been 1 year since my volbella injection and im desperate already... Where did you get the enzyme? I tried hyaluronidase twice but it did not completely get rid of the hanging side of the lip...
July 24, 2015
It was the same enzyme you used. In my opinion it has never returned to normal. The doctor said there was no way any remains.

I got the reinjected with cowbells by another doctor to even them out.
July 24, 2015
And by cowbells I mean vobella
July 29, 2015
The enzyme I tried was hyaluronidase. It kind of helped but then I just waited it out. The lip has never fully returned to normal.
July 30, 2015
Me too... but the other side is still hanging down when I smile... I don't know why because I doubt there's a lot of filler left... if it's scar tissue, how can we fix it?
November 6, 2015
First of all, you are truly gorgeous...don't do anything to your lips
